3 straight run plays at the 5 yard line. No dice. Ben Johnson's play calling is not to my liking today.
They have the rookie that they were talking about on the last drive. His name escapes me, but he looked pretty good on a couple of carries earlier. Really not understanding why, with four shots, they didn't have one play that at least used Caleb's mobility as an option.
What the hell was that? The Rams had the game won, and just decided to not play defense on a prayer pass?
Now Bears have to win after that throw. Reminded me Eli's pass to the guy who caught the ball in his head. What a scramble.
So, the Bears' best play this postseason has been Caleb Williams running backwards for his life and just throwing the ball blindly in the direction of the endzone. He had a couple of similar ones last week against the Packers. Unreal.
Rams had 3 timeouts. Suprised they didn't try something. I know it is only 13 seconds but you never know.
What an asinine throw. It’s crazy Caleb even saw him back there after dropping his eyes, retreating and then having 3 Rams in his face.
The momentum was fully CHI’s way, the crowd is screaming their heads off, and the defenders are ripping at the ball every play. They almost took it from the kick returner. The risk was too high, go to OT, let the tv timeout reset everyone.
Maybe, but I think you run the risk of the massive swing in momentum working against you at that point. The Bears, and that crowd, were/are completely amped up right now. At that point, I think they were wise to just let things settle down and regroup for overtime.
