For sure, but if you're Raiola, why sign somewhere that puts your career on hold for a year? He was already starting for two years. Unless he gauged interest, saw no one cares beyond the "he looks like Mahomes" shtick and chose the most reputable/best coach from the portal that wanted him.

True, NIL changes a ton. I guess I'm looking at it from a marketing point of view. If you're this kid and all you have going for you is the way you look and act on the field... don't take yourself off the field for a year. And you're also really banking on getting better and being a legit starter in 2027 or else your star totally fades. But again, Id probably change my mindset if someone offered me a million to do it.
Please GOD. I saw some sort of trade floating around online where they would trade up to 2 we would get Kyler ... (meh) plus we would send them a 4th and we would get a 2026 3rd and 2027 2nd.
Not sold on Moore being a great fit for the Jets. How about going Reese or Bain with number 2 and taking Ty Simpson at 16 and sitting him for a year to develop behind a veteran. We'd be getting a superior addition to the defense and a QB who is ranked right with the other 2 big names as far as potential by most evaluators. Question is will Simpson drop to 16 and would the Jets staff have the patience to develop a QB? Then go WR with the first round 2 pick.
BOTH of these Qb's need to sit, regardless. NFL is jsut too good, have to develop these kids the right way and time is a big factor here.

There's some 20 year old right now who in a couple years from now will turn into a legit NFL star. But that 20 year old is probably not Dante Moore.
