How did he just swing you yesterday? He's been doing that all season. Nothing new.

I haven't been watching him all season. Still waiting for you to provide a single thing that makes you hopeful about Aaron Glenn's development as a head coach. Must have missed that one, eh?

You haven't watched the best player in college football all season? So then how can you say he swung you if you haven't been watching him? That makes no sense.

To answer your question, I'm hopeful about Glenn's development because he will unequivocally have a more talented roster going into Year 2 including QB (probably via FA). I also think he's got some natural born leadership abilities which hopefully continue to develop. In many cases, the talent and the coaching go hand in hand.

Yes. The Tom Brady aura. Mendoza is nothing extra ordinary physically or in term of arm strength but his ball placement is elite and he is making the right plays constantly and winning games. This is not just luck, he is special.

    You still haven't answered it.

And no, watching endless college football prospects just does not seem like a valid expenditure of time for me these days. I've watched 4 of his games this season which means I didn't watch him "all season". Let me know if there is any more of the English language that you want me to dumb down for you

Probably the same 4 nationally televised games I "watched".

He definitely took it to another level yesterday

I don't mean to call you out specifically because many others have said the same thing, but I'm sick of hearing this. He's listed at 6'1" but let's say he's really 6'0". Other QBs listed at 6'1" or under include: Brock Purdy, Jalen Hurts, Baker Mayfield, Tua Tagovailoa, Geno Smith, Bryce Young, and Russell Wilson.

His height should not be a deal-breaker IMO. I only saw him last night, but he looked great. I hope the Jets draft him, even in the first. Whatever it takes. We need a fucking QB and we ain't getting Mendoza.

    @Jonathan_Vilma
I tried to look for plays where Moore steps into the pocket. I liked this throw a lot. Steps in to avoid the rush on the right from the DE, then moves to the right and threads the needle between 3 defenders on the move. Mendoza had a fantastic game yesterday, but I do think we need to hope Moore declares, and we get one of these two.

Honestly I would not mind either of these guys as well, use the picks to upgrade the roster this year, see what we look like with a competent QB, and then we can use our three first rounders to get a QB next year if need be

Not the worst plan in the world…

What happens if we win five games next year and we fire AG. Then we're back to taking a high profile coordinator since no proven head coach will come to our team. It's the carousel of death.

Then we end up again with a rookie head coach and a rookie QB who is thrown into the fire and will not succeed.

Oh wow then getting him and drafting BPA is also a good plan! Willis looked great.

Yeah man. He looked pretty composed yesterday against the rush all things considered.

Good point. I would say that all those guys were officially measured. Id bet Chambliss is like 6 1/8 when he's measured at the combine.

I do like chambliss. He's got a lot of talent. I would take a flyer on him just not early in the draft.

People are saying he will not even be listed 6-1, more like 6-0. In fact, he is listed 6-0 on the Ole Miss site at least as of right now: https://olemisssports.com/sports/football/roster/trinidad-chambliss/6057
They don't under list, if anything over. But even the list you gave is not all that great to say the least compared to 6-2 or above. Geno is 6-3 btw. If you look at 6-0 QBs, it's even more brutal.

In the NFL height for a QB does matter. You don't need to be a giant, but there is a huge drop off from 6-2, like an absolutely massive one, statistically. And at 6-0... In the history of NFL there was only one great QB at 6-0, Drew Breece. Russ was good for a while. Not saying he has to be great, but the point is, it is another MAJOR obstacle to overcome. Even at 6-1. But at 6-0, the odds are brutal against you.
