Yeah man. Effort is a prerequisite for being a NFL player, not something that earns everyone a gold star. He talks about effort like he’s coaching a bunch of college kids going to the 68 Ventures Bowl and they actually showed up to play hard while they’re on winter break.

The press conference today was a joke, when asked about his "brand" of football he referenced the 3rd quarter of the Jax game we got absolutely blown out in lol. He is so clueless lol, completely backtracked after his presser yesterday when he said the team didn't play with effort, someone must have told him that reflects bad on him lol.
Texans fired 2 coaches after a year before landing their coach, Pats did it with Mayo, good owners and organizations recognize when it's this bad.
The whole "brand of football" thing is dumb in itself too. Having a "brand" or trying to play the same way against every opponent just means you're incapable of outscheming anyone. It means you don't view opponents on a case by case basis and try to exploit their weaknesses. Remember the McVay vs. Belichick superbowl? That was a masterclass in two smart coaches doing everything possible to exploit their specific opponent. The game didn't play out how anyone thought it would, because both coaches had accounted for how they knew the other coach would try to play it and adjusted before the game even began. Now try to imagine Glenn doing that. We are just incredibly outmatched by all of the top coaches.
This is starting to increasingly remind me of the end of the Jerod Mayo tenure in New England. Only slight differences is there's no Mike Vrabel or Drake Maye. Man that's depressing

The least he can do is apologize and own up, especially when he himself is breaking his own rules while he threatened everyone else with months ago. I just want closure so we can move on.
