I mean the referees were completely in the bag for the Ravens. I have never seen a wide receiver brought down with a two-arm wrap tackle while the ball was in the air, even the cornerback was sitting there sheepishly waiting to get the flags. But yeah, damn. Playoffs in the first year for Vrabel. Once Lamar was out their best hope was defense and Derrick Henry. Drake Maye took care of one of those, and apparently the idiot Baltimore OC took care of Henry for the Pats.
Actually when the Patsies were throwing picks and fumbling I was thinking "I know this game". Then they actually started playing, and... Yeah. Point spread for next week is -12.5 Pats on a number of sites. Looks about accurate. .
With both these games, I wouldn't be surprised if there is some point shaving scandal coming from the NFL.
A lot of times the receivers who run the picks in the pick play are so blatant about it that the referees have to throw the flag. TeSlaa did a great job not making it obvious. Horrible call there. Amon-Ra pushes off and it’s probably the right call but Ramsey acted like he got hit by a bus. It wasn’t that egregious to call in that spot. Detroit deserved to lose that game though. They got outplayed all game long.
I just saw Old Man Rivers throw a deep pass on the first play of the game.. I thought that wasn't allowed.
Rivers playing better 5 years out of retirement at 44 than any Jet QB since Fitzmagic 10 years ago you can't make this up.
I think the Colts might try to bring Rivers back next year. Why not? Daniel Jones will be out til October at minimum. Anthony Richardson sucks. They have no draft picks and a good line, defense and Jonathan Taylor.
We had an innovative OC once. Unfortunately, the timing was wrong and that OC didn't have a QB to run his system. That same OC is now back in LA in the playoffs. We had a guy...
Philip Rivers is getting paid a prorated veteran minimum for his brief 2025 return with the Colts, earning around $278,889 for the final four weeks of the season, part of a one-year, $1.255 million deal, which also restarted his league health insurance for another five years. This is a significant drop from the $25 million deal he signed with the Colts for the entire 2020 season.
Why not come back next year? His arm his dead but he’s never really had a big arm. He can run the offense.
