I don't know man, I suggested I didn't care if it was Tyrod. He's cheap, otherwise Minshew? What do you want me to say? I've stated in the past I would like to get Mendoza or Moore but also have said I'm not a college guy so I will defer to others on that one. Aside from that noone is currently available and too early to see where the pieces fall to even speculate. We are all repeating the same shit over and over to an extent including you so not sure that was necessary but you do you I guess.

Yeah it’s hard to answer specifics as we don’t know who will be available yet…

How will the college playoffs go?
Who will declare or not? Any surprises there?
Who will the free agents be…any surprises there?
We have no idea what trade calls may be made … any chance to maybe trade for a guy like Davis Mills?

    We just don’t know…

Alrighty fair enough. So let’s turn every thread including the Tankathon thread, 2026 QB thread, Breece Hall thread, etc. into bitch fests about Aaron Glenn.

I get it and I'll try to keep my Glenn comments in the coach bitching thread, I agree it can get off subject pretty quickly in these threads. Thing is I don't know who's going to be available in the draft, I don't know what FAs are going to be available, what QB starting options are going to shake loose or any of that because there isn't enough information to make an educated point.
Glenn sucking however is in front of me daily and I have all the evidence I personally need to draw a conclusion on that front so that's why it keeps coming out, it's the only concrete info I have to speculate on. But I digress, no more Glenn talk for me on anything but the coaching bitching thread, assume I'm already blocked by Broadway Aaron Glenn since he's not defending Glenn from all these texts and I would prefer not to lose any other posters so I can certainly contain my thoughts to the appropriate threads for the sake of civility.

We know every quarterback that will be a free agent barring being re-signed by their original team. We know with some degree of certainty most of the QB’s that are declaring for the draft. We will know will almost absolute certainty in early January when the transfer portal opens.

I don’t want you or anyone to not post their thoughts about anything in any thread. I’m just going to challenge it with questions as to how you feel about certain things. I think that breeds good discussion and feels less whiney to me.

Makes sense, still I have been trying to back off Glenn as hard as it may be for me. I don't like threads getting derailed and they have all kind of blended together anyway.
As far as QB I thought Sellers could come out now he's not, Archie as well (I never thought he was coming out) so it's still up in the air till probably January and the FAs like Jones that are technically FAs I don't believe he ends up leaving Indy, nor Brisett in Arizona. Trading for a guy like Mac Jones or Mills would be awful since the chances of them ever being a full time starter are extraordinarily rare. That leaves guys like... not sure actually, isn't a lot of meat left on that bone except maybe Flacco? It's not the best year to be in this position.

This is a HORRIBLE year for backup type/FA QB’s. It’s going to be an interesting stat, this year, as to how many games backups started. Really interested to see how many games QB3’s start.

Just aren’t enough good QB’s to go around. I mean, DAMN, Phil Rivers was a HoF semi-finalist and they’re suiting his old ass up! Lol

Yeah the list is very slim pickings

I like Mills the best of the bunch…I think he’s under contract and no idea if the Texans would entertain a trade or not, and if so, what it would take. I’d do a 3rd rounder for him…could maybe be talked into a 2nd rounder but not sold really on that…but I absolutely hate Murray and don’t want him at any cost, I also don’t want Mac Jones he sucks…he will NOT do as well on another team as he has shown in SF so that’s a hard pass. Not sure what will happen with Jones now that he got hurt…would assume he’d stick with Indy on some deal but who knows. The Burrow talk I think is just wild speculation I don’t think he’s going anywhere.

So yeah, not many realistic options out there…which is why I do think Mougey will take a QB early.

We’ll see how it works out but picking 5th or so we won’t get Mendoza, and not sure about Moore either. Problem is neither guy is really worth trading up for either so we are maybe looking at someone with our 2nd first rounder? Not sure who that would be…

I actually think we can get some answers this week. If the Jets beat the Saints, I just don't know if we will be able to trade up for a QB. We may be out of range with 4 wins, needing top two picks. It all comes down to the tank. I think for this week even these who are anti tankers, need to hope for a loss. Plus some help from other teams. If we get out of Mendoza/Moore range, the pickings are incredibly slim. We might end up trading for a veteran QB. Maybe a 3d or 4th round pick for Mills, McKee, or even Mac Jones. I don't think Mooge and AG are going into the season with Mariota or Minshew as the starter if we are out of range for a QB in the 1st.

He couldn't coach up anyone else to take the position.

Yeah…losing to the Saints is pretty much a MUST LOSE for draft position

I don’t think meaningless wins carry over any kind of momentum to the next year personally

But apparently we haven’t won in NO in a very long time, and the way both teams are playing, I don’t see us winning this game

I have sunday ticket and I've seen four of the last five saints games. They played well in almost all the games and honestly the Jets have a very slim slim shot of beating them.

The one silver lining about being at this sad stage of the season is that we can cheer for wins and loses simultaneously....

    Exactly!

Watching the games I hope they win, but as they lose, the consolation prize is like OK, well this is really the best outcome for the long run
