Its Christmas for cryin out loud. Green pants are the least of our problems. I hate them, but honestly they're low fruit so all I hope for is for the Jets to show up and play well.

Green pants aren’t native to either the Namath-era classics or the sack exchange era kits. They showed up during the Coslet years (along with black trim, but that’s another separate travesty) and have for some stupid reason been carried forward to the next generations of those uni sets.

And, no, I am not a lesbian.

I'm pretty sure the Jets wore green pants with white shirts occasionally at Shea Stadium in the 1970's. Nobody died or got divorced over it.

Brady Cook to start and Adrian Martinez to back him up. The scenario of Fields' ineffectiveness and Taylor being injured that absolutely nobody could have seen coming. We've reached the Bryce Petty/Greg McElroy/Brooks Bollinger-esque QB portion of the season

There could be something to work with in Brady Cook, but obviously as a UDFA rookie, he should not be starting a game this year. So him looking anything other than totally overmatched would be encouraging. He made a few throws and has good arm strength, but those were some damn bad picks. Gonna be an ugly game

It doesn't matter who starts, the green pants already lost us the game.

Eh I don't see it that way.

Cook looked like a real QB the other day. I haven't seen Martinez yet but as long as they pass the football even if it's to the other team at times to me that's a upgrade over the QB1 the Jets went into this season with.

Tyrod is old and didn't look like he was ready for this Jets backup QB job. I was very unimpressed with him this season I expected much more.

I'm going with the Jaguars only because they're 9-4 but I have a feeling it will be much closer than most people think.

The Jets beat this team last season and they're coming off a stinker vs Miami.

Have to agree on Taylor. Much like when you see a starter decline, as a backup, he really looks like he hit the cliff so to speak.

The first time the Jets ever wore green pants was the 1990 season opener in Cincinnati. I remember it well because it was before the internet came around and I had no idea they adopted green pants as they were still wearing the 1980s uniforms during the preseason…… it was Bruce Coslet’s first game and in typical Jets fashion (especially during the Coslet era) they came out on fire despite being heavy underdogs and eventually blew a double digit second half lead thanks in part to a goal line gaffe by a back up TE…..

The 1970s Jets wore green jerseys with white pants at Shea and very occasionally wore all white most notably in a 1971 game vs playoff bound KC - a huge upset with Namath not playing…

My memory differs. I believe that wearing white jerseys at home was the norm through the seventies; green only occasionally.
