I am not sure about the number of drops - it seemed like a lot - but I did note that after 13 games the Jets have: - 2 takeaways (and 0 interceptions) - a takeaway differental of -15 (worst in the NFL) the record fewest takeaways is 7 (niners in 2018) - Jets will need more than 1 per game the rest of the season not to break the record. They also need to get 3 interceptions to avoid tying with the lowest in a season (2 by the Niners again in 2018).
I have no words This made my stomach just churn…disgusting fucking performance all the way around There were A LOT of drops today…15 needs to catch the fucking ball when it hits his hands…he sucks…of course all the receivers had at least one drop today The OL was shit The defense was fucking disgusting…I don’t know why they just go and hug the running back but they could not tackle at all today Cook didn’t look good either but I won’t bag on the kid for his first game action when it was coming in cold for an injury…but at this point, I say just start him the rest of the way and see what he becomes Our receivers though suck balls…we need upgrades there…the OL has some good days but today was terrible. And our defense … ugh Also, looks like stupid penalties are back on the menu, boys! I am so fucking sick of watching our defensive HCs put an offense out there that just makes it look impossible to sustain any kind of drives…in the second quarter there Miami had more TDs than we had first downs…it was disgusting I think we can readily say that the feel good wins we got were really not about any real improvement from the coaching…we just played teams that sucked more than us.
Not a single thing you can take away from this game other than another dominant ST performance. Defense was absolutely dreadful. Wilks should be fired tomorrow. And not really much you can do when you have an undrafted rookie free agent taking over down 21-0. Other than NOT drop the ball which I’ve never seen us do more. Disaster top to bottom. Yes but the sad part to me is that this is pretty much how we’ve looked all year outside of the 3 games against shit teams…penalties, fumbles, total inability to get a takeaway, bad tackling, dropped passes…we’ve been watching this shit all fucking year Glenn is not the guy…but woody is going to waste another couple years and 5 first round picks finding that out
I want to say it was close to the 6 minute mark left in the 4th qtr. and they panned to Glenn. All I saw was a man standing there shaking his head in full blown disbelief. I can only imagine what was said in that locker room but, if it were me, I would have started at the o/d-line and worked my way out. EVERYONE on offense and defense should have been REAMED before they left that locker room. I would have dismissed the ST unit before doing so. No need for them to get torn up from the floor up. That had to be some of the worst tackling, lack of catching footballs I've seen in a while. And, that's saying something considering the season we're having. I've said this before and I'll say it again. Glenn can't tackle for them, he can't catch the ball for them and he sure as hell can't NOT commit penalties for them. At some point, the players on the field have to execute and you simply can't cut or sit everyone. From the looks of it they are about 10% into the rebuild with a looooonnnggggg way to go.
Glenn really should be one and done, but Woody is too stupid to see it and too useless to hire someone who's actually good, so yeah you're right.

Not that it really made a difference yesterday but how bad was the officiating? The two low block penalties were complete bullshit, we should have had another seven points on the board right before halftime and there was a “snap infraction“ on Josh Myers where the only person that moved was one defensive lineman. How do refs get worse and worse every year?
Sure looked like a backwards pass there by Tua as well I was watching at home. The TV announcers “that’s a backwards pass!” “I agree, it should be the Jets ball here” then the refs say it wasn’t a backwards pass. And the same announcers immediately: “it’s the right call, good job by the officials”
I had already headed up to concessions assuming the half was over. Every Dolphins fan thought that call was gonna end up giving us 7. The only people that thought it shouldn’t have were the refs.

Yeah, you can see why Metchie and Mitchell are what they are and why teams have no issue letting go of them…they have some nice traits and speed and whatnot, but they both have dropped WAY too many balls…I get a lot of that early was Fields throwing off target balls but yesterday was not that…they both dropped balls that hit their hands…so did Mason Taylor…it was a disgusting display. I’m ok giving both receivers plenty of playing time the rest of the way just to see if they can improve, but if they continue like this, we need to find new guys …. Can’t have this many drops from starting receivers
There was one great angle that shows it was a slightly forward pass, very close though, I do not expect to get a close call from the officials, it would go against us 100 out of 100 times, and always has.
