The Jet HQ seems to be obsessed with Mendoza so, there's gonna be a trade up. Only question is how expensive.
I still want the first pick. Even if we don't use it, the haul you get for trading away the first pick is a lot bigger than the haul you get for trading away the 4th or 5th pick. And if they are going to take a QB, I want it to be their first choice and I don't want to have to trade anything to move up to get it.
Hackenberg was terrible in college. Search long enough and you'll find a post in here from me right before that draft saying I didn't even think he was a good Big Ten QB, let alone an NFL QB. At least Mendoza has been good in college.
Most teams know would try to capitalize and go for the end zone. I fully expect the Jets to call two runs up the middle after that return.
