Meh. No WR is worth changing your QB plans. Jeremiah Shememiah.

You're right. But it makes the plan of getting your guy in 2026 even smarter than it already was ;)

yes he does such a wild player. He’s either gonna be an all time great or get everyone fired

I’m with you on not trading up for any of these kids…and I can even say they may not be worth drafting in our spot if there is a blue chip DE or WR on the board anyway. Again, I haven’t watched ANY of these kids play, but I do trust a lot of folks on this board, and I’m not seeing ANYONE say any of these kids are IT. So I have a feeling that this may be one of those drafts that just doesn’t have any good QBs in it…who knows, but it’s happened before.

My only difference of opinion is that I probably would not waste a later round pick on a QB…the chances of that pick developing into a starter are very low, and for us specifically, pretty much zero. It would be like throwing a pick away…would rather use that pick on a positional player as we have so many needs, and instead go get a vet to fill the seat until the 2027 draft.

All that being said, I think Mougey will draft whatever QB he has at the top of his list when we are on the clock, as we have the picks and we for sure have the fucking need.

I get that Nussmeier has been underwhelming this year (and injured..) but what point is this interim LSU coach making by playing a backup that wouldn’t start on a lot of group of 5 teams?

So JV. Say Jets pick 4th. Mendoza and Moore are in the draft. What's the smart play?

I have to see what these kids do in the playoffs but I’d probably take Moore. But I don’t think he’s coming out.

is it the coach’s decision or is Nussmeier making a business decision on his own?

BN. If Oklahama loses to LSU, now that my Vandy almost won the game, do you think Vandy can take Oklahama's spot in the playoffs?

Edit: Scratch that. Oklahama wins. Now onto Alabama. If Alabama loses does Vandy have a shot?

I don’t think it’s Nuss. He doesn’t seem like that type of kid but the change also happened at half time a couple weeks ago.

Basically, my thought process in drafting a QB in the 3rd or 4th is we do need depth. Not sure what's going on with Cook but I'm not a huge fan of UFA Rookie QB's. That leaves getting a guy in the draft somewhere. Just tossing around ideas.

The more I think about the Jets, yet again, in a draft where the QB is the #1 need and there isn't a dude worth drafting it frustrates me because I KNOW they will draft one and, more than likely, it will fail in full colossal fashion. 4 years down the road, when they are back at it again, we'll be barking up the same tree. This never ending "wash/rinse/repeat" bullshit at the QB position was old 20 years ago and now...well.........nothing has changed.

hate to be negative to you Brook but I think their chances are around zero percent. It’s a rigged sport of haves and have nots. A boys club. They would put 3 loss Texas in before Vandy

I am beginning to think Moore will go #1 if he comes out. Watched him today against Washington, which has a good record. Very impressive again. Aside from the great stat line, multiple great balls could have been caught but were dropped, drew two PI calls for critical gains. Showed he can run as well. Quick release, beautiful NFL level arm. very accurate, and can get yards on the ground when needed. Showed he can go through progressions, and he is just 20 years old.

I think Moore is a legitimate #1 pick if the draft were held today. He might come out if he is a consensus #1, which he will be if he keeps this up. The #1 overall distinction is very hard to pass up. And if so I would not hesitate to trade up using the trade value ESPN's Miller outlined in his mock. There is something special about this kid.

If you want a QB for depth, sure I can understand 3d or 4th round pick. But just know you WILL have to spend a top pick on a QB in 2027, most likely with a massive trade up. 3d or 4th round QB is not a realistic solution to our main problem.

I can see whey people don't want to trade up for Mendoza. There is that element of locking onto the read and not seeing defenses sometimes. But he is a baller. I think he is definitely a 1st rounder. Is he is a top 5/10? QBs always get pushed up, so with that I would have to say yes. If he is there for us, he is probably worth a shot. But right now, without seeing conference championships and play-offs, I would rather have Moore, and I would be happy to trade up for Moore. Mendoza I am not convinced is worth a trade up, though I would grab him if he is there with our 1st round pick still if Moore is not an option.

Watched Moore twice now. Didn’t know he was only 20. Has good arm and all but didn’t see him going through his progression honestly. Can he read defenses or no? I am tired of QB’s with good arm that see ghosts during the game.
