the weird thing is that women are more like Megyn Kelly than youd think.

I served on a grand jury once of some teacher who was diddling a 14 year old girl. The male jurors and I wanted to hang the guy. The women jurors were the ones holding up justice and making excuses for the guy. With similar comments to what Megyn Kelly is saying about Epstein. We got enough to indict but it was close

That’s crazy. Hadn’t thought of it before, but yeah, it’s almost always a female teacher in an inappropriate relationship with a student in the news

She's right. Those attracted to post pubescents (usually 15-19) are correctly called ephebophiles.

Hold it! You’re not actually defending pedophiles are you? If so, then that’s sick!

I hadn’t heard that term before, but just saw that it just describes those attracted to teens instead of small children. Still illegal and disgusting , but not classified as a disorder. I would disagree. Vulnerable is vulnerable , illegal is illegal.

And sick is sick. Personally, anybody that does this or DEFENDS anyone that does should have their nads cut off and glued to their forehead so the whole world will know to stay away.
I am both disgusted and appalled by this behavior and I’m filled with loathing towards anyone that defends it.

No, not at all. I am defending the English language. Did you not read my reply or just not understand it?

The word "pedophile" is properly used to describe those attracted to prepubescents, not those who have gone through puberty. It is a biological distinction, not a legal one. I supplied the correct term; it's hard to spell and even harder to pronounce but it is the proper term.

Idk how many times it needs to be said. She is not correct. I supplied the exact quote “he liked the barely legal 15 year old type” is an incorrect statement because a 15 year old is illegal for a grown man to have sex with

I don't know why apparently educated adults cannot understand that a label that does not appear as a descriptor in any law has something to do with unlawful behavior. There's a reason that the pertinent laws are written with precision, in this case specific ages, rather than ambiguous and largely misunderstood terms used by the general public.

Again, an adult sexually attracted to a fifteen year old is not, by definition, a pedophile. That in no way makes it legal for him to actually take action responding to that attraction which is called "ephebophilia". I guess if the geniuses on the CNN panel, who get paid for their wordsmithing, cannot understand it we should not expect anyone here to.

For the record: I am not now, nor have I ever been a fan of, or apologist for. Megyn Kelly. Or, for that matter, hysterical podcasters, influencers or media "experts" of any stripe.
