yea the two rosters are neck and neck, it's gonna come down to coaching.

No shit our staff could have a terrible game, that's why I said if (And when is my opinion) we get blown out. If it's a tight game and Glenn reverses course on the in-game decision making improvements he's been making then obviously it's on him.

He ain't making the switch. Before when the team was losing he felt the pressure. After back-to-back wins I get the feeling he feels vindicated? After trading away Sauce & Quinnen the pressure to win isn't the same I feel.

Fields is his hand picked QB as long as the team is winning or playing competitive he'll stick with him.

It's not as if Tyrod has lit up the scoreboard when he had the chance. Tyrod could've made it interesting but he stunk up the joint when forced into action.

I have to go with the Pats. No real reason to pick Jets other than blind faith.

I can't say the Jets are the better team. How are the Jets beating a 8-2 team on the road with practically no passing attack to speak of?

That said this is a rivalry game and in this 2025 NFL season it seems anyone can beat or almost beat anyone.

If the Jets were to get this one omg no no we're not playoffs bound but this new regime could say see we have this thing headed in the right direction. Believe in us believe in what we're doing.

And 3 in a row after 0-7 would feel amazing.

    I don't believe it'll happen but ...

Harrison Phillips not Practicing and in a boot in the locker room. So he’s out as well. That means we are starting Mazi Smith who is the literal worst ranked DT in the league and I guess Briggs? Who was going to be cut by the Browns after training camp. And we’re playing against the team who just figured out their rookie running back is really good. What could go wrong?

I am expecting the Patriots to embarrass us on national TV as they so often have

I just don’t see how we can possibly win this game…we got lucky with two return TD’s to overcome Fields last week…that ain’t happening this week

I guess if I’m in a good mood I can look at the silver lining point of view…I’d love to win the game as I can’t complain about winning really even if it does hurt our draft position, but if we (more likely) lose, then at least that keeps our draft position high.

I get that there may not be that consensus #1 QB so that top pick is not as crucial as it otherwise could have been, but still, a higher pick is always better than a lower pick, whether that gives us access to a player or if we want to trade down…either way it’s a good thing

Don't think for a second that Glenn spends half a breath a week concerned for the fanbase - nor should he. Many of us have understood from the beginning that the numbers on the scoreboard this year are far less important than starting the change we've been screaming for since before the Johnsons arrived in their black limo when they needed a white horse. I'm far beyond being embarrassed by whatever happens in New England, Olde England or right here in New Jersey. Nobody said this was going to be an easy process.

This is the point many here are missing. Had TT done better when called to action the decision would have been a lot easier to make. But he didn’t. That and his propensity for injury leaves us in a bind. My question is what will it take and when before AG gives Cook a shot with the first stringers. In my opinion he should be taking some reps now.
As for this game, NE has embarrassed many a team this year so that is neither here nor there. Jets should play them hard and without too many mental errors or inexcusable penalties. I sure don’t expect a win but neither an absolute embarrassing blow out.,

Wow, you can feel the tenor shift on the boards. We all used to bicker back and forth and it feels, just in the last couple days, that has subsided with........apathy. Apathy has started to set in and we're all trying to play "scout" for what is coming in the draft. Or rather, at least I am. Which is hard to do because I simply can't stand college football right now. For me, it's like flipping a coin between a root canal and watching NCAA. All I can say is thank goodness for those that put together compilation "film" to watch different players.

Line up to -13.5 and honestly I’m thinking about putting money down on an alt spread of -20.5

    Gonna be a bloodbath.

Edit: Wow. There’s only two Jets with better odds to score the first TD of the game than the New England defense

Idk I think it will be close. Ugly but close.

They are making a big deal up in Boston about how Vrabel told them they could practice inside if they wanted but Maye and others declined, and they practiced outside in the cold. I think that's a mistake for them. On a short week you need to have focused practices because of the timeline.

Anyone who has ever been around a sports/football team knows that the first "weather" practice is an unfocused one. They laugh at the southern boys and rookies, everyone has a go to joke about it being cold outside. If theres snow they throw snowballs at each other (IDK if Foxboro got any snow this week), but either way the first cold practice is never a focused one. So NE likely "wasted" a day on a short week.

The Jets will put up a good fight, probably wont win of course because were operating with 1 good player on the whole team in Breece Hall. But it might be an ugly 17-13 type loss not a bloodbath

I hope you’re right, I’d walk away feeling pretty good about that. I just don’t see it. MVP candidate at QB, very good WR, finally realizing they have a stud RB… and not to mention we can’t complete a forward pass.

I will say, as much as I like him, Vrabel absolutely gets too cocky sometimes. I’d love for this to be one of those times.

This, we only have one way to move the football and Vrabel knows it. They will do what most teams have done and just run blitz us to death. We have no way of moving the football whatsoever without Breece so I'm thinking we will be lucky to score 6 offensively (hopefully ST or Def can help). The pats on the other hand have an amazing offense and our defense is terrible, think us vs the Bengals. 30+ to 6 is not out of the question hence the 13.5 point spread.

I also don’t think this is going to be some sort of blowout. A short week division game for the home team is a get the W and get out of dodge healthy type of thing.

Unfortunately the bar for progress of the coaching staff and organization is to walk away from this game without some sort of embarrassment whether that be score or a goofy on field play.

The Pats just came back from rainy but warm Tampa Bay in an ugly hard fought game.

I don’t think staying competitive on the road against a division rival and one of the best teams in the NFL in primetime is some kind of crazy low bar for a team that came into the season with probably the worst roster in football, then traded away it’s two best defenders and is missing it’s WR1.

But it can’t be one of those bullshit “Look completely inept for 3 quarters and then score 17 points win the Patriots stop trying” kind of final scores that makes the decision. I’d even settle for the reverse… Stay competitive the entire time but at the end of the day the much talented roster ends up pulling away.

I believe with this QB and no #1 WR to boot, fighting a tough battle and staying competitive is quite an accomplishment. I also believe that like it or not, AG has them believing that we can beat them if we play error free and execute as we practice. We might come close. I say fire away, play aggressive and dont play a conservative not to lose game. A far more innovative game plan with shocking, unexpected play calls is in order. Watch our punter go for a pass on fourth down. Cheers

It's so hard for me to imagine them not getting beat handedly. The matchups seem so unfavorable.

As pathetic as it sounds, a close, hard-fought game wouldn't upset me.

I'm guessing Fields will start, but I also think he will be on a very short leash

First time in a long time, I have zero desire to watch the Jets. Maybe it is because of seeing fucking Massholes at 8-2 again at the top of AFC, maybe my hatred for Woody, maybe Glenn sucking all football off of me. Enjoy the game folks. Will sit this one out. Fuck the Pats. Scum of the earth cheating douchebags.

Just wait till the Jets have a PR and KR TD in the first quarter. You'll be back!
