The really sad thing is that while NE struggled to find a QB after Brady, they eventually found one. Jets still floundering. It means we have a lot of trouncings to look forward to (again.)
It may be that either Glenn or Woody is forcing Fields on the offense because of the contract and the embarrassment of paying a bust that much money. The only other justification would be that the tank is on however, with all the additional picks we have, its not so critical anymore to have the #1 when you have so many picks in the 1st round anyway.
Pat's D is #1 against the run. Jets have the fewest passing yards in the league. What could possibly go wrong?
Not much for the NE DC to plan for.. Just stack the box and force Fields and Engstrand to pass. Without GW even as a decoy, this Jet passing game might as well not make the trip to Foxboro. I wouldn't even bother with Breece on Thursday. Good give away game to see what we have on the bench.
The Jets, where coaches and coordinators go to die and rise from the dead somewhere else. There's something endemically wrong with this organization. That's the non-answer answer. Let's see, what's those words we all use? Rebuild, burn to the ground, rebuild, burn to the ground, rebuild, burn to the ground . . . I got stuck on a scratch.
It's hard to expect anything other than another ugly appearance on national TV. But they've won 2 straight and played more competitively in a few straight. And weird things happen on Thursday Night Football
This game is damned the torpedos with nothing to lose. Fake punts, two TDs from the D and one from special teams. Chase May all day. Have TT and JF on the field together and bombs away. LOL. I would laugh my ass out if we actually change QBs before the half. I would bring in the rook.
I think you better get prepared. These are the Patriots. They HATE us. If it's in their power to lay 60 on us, they will. Vrabel is a no holds barred Bill B. disciple. I can see this team getting it's lunch handed to it before the end of the 1st quarter. Of course, I HAVE been wrong many a time. lol
PREACH!!!!! Well said! God I hate people who've never lifted a fingernail in their entire lives yet somehow feel as if they've got some magic sauce to grace us all with.
See that's the thing. At least some of the time, these absolute slam-dunk games actually turn out to have a twist in the tail. I just have this weird feeling there's a chance this will be the game where Maye gets hit 10 times, throws a pick, and the Patsies add two fumbles. They lost to the Steelers with like 5 turnovers. We get some TOs and maybe a defense or ST score... the Patsies are suddenly in an ugly dogfight in the fourth quarter. Those kids are all still young - rookies and second-year kids. They could crack. I give it a 20% chance.
I vote Jets to win. At the end of the third quarter in the Browns game, sitting in a wet seat with the rain coming down I said to my seat mate over and over again… GIVE HALL THE BALL, GIVE HALL THE BALL, GIVE HALL THE BALL… Think Hall got the ball on 10 successive plays and ran it right up their ass into the end zone. Granted, we were playing the Browns, but he proved he can carry this sorry team!
Yes, but there's a massive talent gap between these two rosters. If/when we get destroyed it will barely be on coaching.
Ding, Ding, Ding.... we have a winer, Amen, I haven't see this stiff this year and may not bother Thursday night.
You are excusing the coaching before the game is even played. At least wait a little bit before making predetermined takes.
