You have a superstar CB under contract for the next 5 years at a great price and you trade him for a shot at maybe landing another superstar? dumb dumb dumb
Thought I was hallucinating when I first read this. Two firsts is interesting though. There's no one else on defense we would've gotten remotely that kind of return for. If these are used to build the offense then I'm cool with this trade.
Why? That’s a great deal dude. He’s good but he’s regressed to be good and not elite like he was for two years. And he gets flagged a ton. That’s what they would’ve gotten when they should’ve moved him two years ago.
He's still elite by the numbers. Very much so. We're trading a star that's on a good deal for 5 years for the chance to maybe draft a star. Complete ass backwards thinking.
This is a good move. Depending on how you felt about sauce. I'm interested in what's next. Breece is definitely gone.
You’re trading an incredibly expensive star though. It’s not like he had a team friendly deal. And I never really “worry” about the money but you keep saying locked up for 5 years. Yeah but at a massive number.
WOW. Honestly, with how AZ Thomas looks plus Stephens being competent, it might not be crazy but it better as hell be for multiple 1sts.
Last I looked, the Jets have been the worst team in football since they drafted Gardner. Not his fault, but how will they miss him?
Sauce has made no impact plays and has struggled with tackling Don't get me wrong, he was one of the better players we've had and got alot of unnecessary hate due to the above. He got paid and wasn't a captain, which tells you something. Great trade.
That's a good deal. I've been a defender of Sauce Gardner here but 2 1st round picks is just impossible to decline
I know the kid has had some growing pains but the odds of us frittering away the draft picks on busts is a lot higher than Sauce being out of the league in a couple years. Not as bad as the Darnold for Wlison switcheroo but I am going on the record saying that this was the wrong call.
