No one can look like a FQB with the historically bad supporting cast JD gave Sam. When we draft another QB, unless we have a good GM that can surround him with talent, and CS that can develop him, we may draft a FQB and won't even know it. Then he could develop elsewhere and we would say how there was nothing positive with him here.
That's just it - there is no such thing as a franchise quarterback unless it is apparent to everyone.
