ABSOLUTELY!!! i remember wanting to bring my kid to training camp and then not doing it because it was a madhouse with favre and all the people wanting to see him. first leaving shea, which i get it, but it hurt the fanbase. then leaving hofstra and having nothing on that side of the city. im sure it really made it hard for long island and queens fans to continue to support the way they always had.
yeah new york media market and metlife stadium which even though it sucks donkey balls is one of the most expensive stadiums in the league. and owning half of it with all of the other bullshit they put on there makes them a ton of money as well.

I don’t know anything about Woody being corrupt or of bad character but for sure he is mircomanaging and no knowledge of football Agree 100% with number 2 As for #3, I don’t know…it’s not like we didn’t give Mac and JD a lot of time…sure Idzik we got rid of quick but that was SO warranted…he was a bad hire from the jump and proved it right away. I think Mac also was a bad hire due to Casserly but he got plenty of time to build and he fucked up. Same for JD, who I think had the best background and was the best hire on paper of the three, but he got plenty of time also and fucked it up. So I don’t think we moved too quickly on firing any of the three…I can’t stand the idea of continuity just for its own sake…if the guy sucks, move on. And the sooner you see it and act on it, the better. For example, I already know that I don’t need to see 5 years of AG to know he is not the guy to fix this mess. But you know, Woody has no knowledge of football so we are going to have to endure a year 2 at least.
Your footnote is, indeed, interesting. Apparently Young's comments were made on ESPN's PTI show but I can't find a link to the show anywhere. I did find a couple of articles from Athlon and Awful Announcing that talked about Young's comments but neither mentioned corruption, micromanaging or bad character. Both referred to a lack of football knowledge and repeated failure at selecting or successfully training a QB at the Jets but that's about as far as they went. I remember Young seeming to take it personally that the Jets could not turn his possum crap BYU buddy Wilson into filet mignon.

No he cannot do the job. In fact this owner is fucking dipshit is BECAUSE he keeps hiring incompetent GMs like JD and incompetent coaches. Let's not rewrite history. JD inherited a true young franchise QB coming off a similar season as Josh Allen. And he ruins him by surrounding him with absolute shit. We are talking historic level of shit. His WR1, RB1, and TE1 combined for 317 total years for the rest of their carriers after that year. And absolute shit of the OL to boot. Truly historic level of shit. This is how you ruin a young QB. He then gets rid of the guy, who is now top 5 QB in the NFL at just 28, to draft a total bust and give him shit OL to boot too, because why not? After continuous failures there he gets an older HoF QB, but protects his blind side with injured washed up Duane Brown. You cannot make this shit up. After Rodgers is predictably injured, albeit sooner than expected, after another failed season he finally builds a norm OL after 5 years as a GM... And ruins DL and ST in the process, resulting in another (5 wins) failure. Total 6 years of failure, and traded away a 24 year old FQB, which this franchise has been waiting since Namath, already had on the roster, and JD ruined it. So fuck JD, and Woody in indeed fucking dipshit for hiring terrible people like him, which he cannot stop doing.
Sam Darnold was certainly never a franchise quarterback at the Jets. He has not been a franchise quarterback at any of the stops he's made since leaving the Jets. He could become a franchise quarterback moving forward but his next recognition as such will be his first. A starting quarterback is far different from a franchise quarterback. This is in no way a defense of anything Douglas did at the Jets but there's no reason to oversell anything positive that may have been happening at the Jets when he arrived.
