You actually believe the London market is a deeper well for the NFL than the New York market? Really?

They wouldn't, exactly my point, the only way we're getting rid of Woody is when he dies

I wouldn’t say that’s a fair comparison. The real question is whether the London market is deeper than 1/3rd of the NY market, which is about what the Jets hold compared to the Giants. Given how much the NFL clearly wants to go global, the Jets do make some sense. They’ve never really had a home in NY and quite frankly the NY market is not what it used to be and more than likely going to continue to decline.

Yea New York teams haven’t won anything in over a decade…unless you count the WNBA…and that somehow makes it feel worse.

Good morning, class. Today I'm going to give you all an art lesson. Today's topic is composition. On the bottom left, we have a beat writer responding to the words of Woody Johnson. His posture is remindful of Luke's surprise in Carravaggio's 'The Supper at Emmaus'. Note the perspective and how his gesticulation challenges the frame of reference.

Woody Johnson appears center left, lending interest to the point of view. His own point of view, however, is that of a jackass, and unlike Christ revealing himself to Cleopas and Luke in 'The Supper at Emmaus', no one is surprised.

The female figure on the right takes on the role of the groomsman here, who in Carravaggio's rendering, is bathed in shadow and appears unaffected and oblivious to the enormity of the event. Here, she is dumbstruck by Woody Johnson's mewling and appears to be a little drunk. She represents the Jets fan in all of us.

Whichever reporter that broke the news of Woody's comments to Fields in the presser, is also a massive cunt.

Guy sounded like he was really enjoying kicking Fields in the balls.

    Awful presser.

Yeah, and yesterday the Giants sold ten percent of their team and got a billion dollars for it. How does that put the New York market in decline? Your one third figure is way off - just last month CNBC put the value of the Jets at 9.1 billion dollars. And the London market may be deeper than New York in eating sauteed tomatoes and beans for breakfast but not for American football! How can anyone seriously make a case for the Jets moving from NY to anywhere, much less London?

    Of course she's a little drunk if she's a Jets fan - it's a basic requirement.

Disagree 100%. It is news when a business owner comments about the performance of key personnel. It would be dereliction of reportorial duty to ignore those comments.

Kind of like if your king told Laura Kuenssberg he was going to demolish half of Buckingham Palace to put up a stable for his ponies and she sat on the information.
