    Besides Breece Hall, - as he appears to be an obvious choice --- I'm thinking the other possibilities;
    - Quinnen Williams (its going to take a MINIMUM of 2 yrs to turn this thing around. Quinnen would be 29 by then. He would bring the best haul of draft picks in return).
    - Will McDonald IV (its been painful to watch him this year. He gets blocked 1 on 1 by TIGHT ENDS! For all his sack flashes, - he's been getting little to no pressure lately & gets entirely overwhelmed in the run game. He is someone else's draft pick & its as simple as that.
    - Quincy Williams (last year of his contract. Maybe could get a straight up 5th rounder)

    Much lower
    - John Simpson (at best this would be 1 of those player + 7th rounder & get a 6th rounder in return). Simpson has been horrible this year & can't possibly be in any plans after this season.

The Jets should also clear out Lazard, Tyler Johnson and maybe even Josh Reynolds. Even if that means just cutting a couple of them.

Elevate Pritchett, Skinner and/or Brandon Smith. Let’s see if there’s anything there that we can build on and maybe secure as a WR 3-5 on the roster next year.

The Buccaneers have given Tez Johnson a shot rather than some slow retread whose been on 6 teams and it’s paying off.

I just hope this regime doesn't trade away all our assets then gets shit canned, hate the thought of it because there is talent on this team they just don't know how to use it. Surprised they can even use silverware at this point they seem so painfully incompetent.

Breece Hall and Quincy Williams. Those are the only assets that make sense.

Quinnen stays. He is a great player. DLmen play well into their early 30s.

I don’t know…I’m not really in the fire sale mode

First, I think you need to keep good pieces … trading them for mid round draft picks doesn’t help much and instead just creates more holes to fill. If you can find some crazy deal like JD did with Adams for two first rounders sure, but I don’t think we have anybody who would bring a haul like that…I’m not really into creating holes that will have to be filled with 3rd and 4th round picks…even Q who is probably the best candidate isn’t bringing that kind of haul, and we already have to fill a couple of positions on DL…moving him will just gut our DL way more than we can fix it

Second, how many times are we going to do this tear down? We just did it with JD and look how that turned out…I’ve seen Mougey’s mid round picks…none of them give me any confidence that he would find replacements better than what we are talking about trading. Plus I’m getting too old to keep doing this shit…

Third, I think our talent is better than it’s showing, and the coaching is bringing it down instead of elevating it

Fourth…I don’t trust Mougey to draft well enough and I especially don’t trust AG and his staff to maximize talent based on what we’ve seen so far…this team has digressed by A LOT.

So yeah, the only one who probably makes sense is Breece on an expiring contract but man, we saw what our offense looked like without our one good receiver (6 whole points!)…I can’t stomach watching this offense without our one really good RB…I’d rather find a way to keep Breece and use our picks to fill holes at QB, WR, DE, CB, S…probably in that order

Totally agree! What is the fascination w Reynolds? This is his 6th team and he is a retread's retread. Would especially like to see Pritchett and Skinner get a chance!

Agree. The only body I would move is Hall, simply because he has modest value and is gone next year anyway.

I guess it depends what you're (the Jets) looking to do. Its one thing to just unload players who wont be here next year. Pick up some mid to late round picks. Those can be pretty valuable especially since the Jets will be in prime position to trade into the first. Maybe Quincy gets a third, I cant think of anyone else that may. Breece probably gets a fourth at best.

If you think you can get a first rounder plus for Quinnen, I think you legitimately consider it. If you're drafting a QB at number one, an extra first to put around him either at OL or WR would be hugely helpful. There is also no harm in keeping him. He's a good player who is under contract for a bit. I'd be fine if they go in either direction here.

Yeah it all depends on price…there is no one on this roster bringing a first rounder except possibly Q but even there I’m not sure he does.

Sure, we’d have to consider it but then our already poor defense has a much larger hole. We have almost zero pass rush with him, without him we are toothless. That’d be a hard guy to replace

    I don't think they're trading Breece, but it's possible.

We can trade MC2 as he’s regressed and we have young corners who can step in, but MC2 isn’t bringing back much…maybe a 5th at this point? Kinda pointless but sure go ahead and trade him…I just don’t think he brings even a 4th let alone a 3rd

Quincy maybe brings a 3rd but he’s a lot of energy and I think we’d miss him more than maybe expected…not to mention Q is his brother so that may have an effect as well.

The defense has gotten better, and less penalized, since Quincy Williams has been out with injury

hell yeah you trade him but I don’t see people offering much. He’s way overrated by Jets fans than he is perceived around the league

Ha! Yeah it sure feels like Quincy is good for one late hit out of bounds every other game or so…

And yeah, he’s tradable but like you said, I don’t think we have many (any?) assets really worth anything back in trade…the only players who would bring back high picks are GW, Sauce, and maybe Q. That’s about it. There is nothing else worth more than late round picks.

Sure, if Quincy brings a 3rd, I’d consider it as well but he’s been hurt some and I would be surprised if he’d bring that back in trade.

The only players I would not consider trading are GW, Mason Taylor, and the two OTs. Everyone else can/should be evaluated on a cost/value/risk basis to a 2- year full rebuild.

I mean he was all-pro in 2023 and still got all-pro votes in 2024. That's not fans overrating him. I do think that had plenty to do with the system and coaching though. Which brings me to my next point.

Robert Saleh just lost Fred Warner for the season.

I would trade Sauce and Quinnen. I am so tired of watching us rebuild defense after defense time and time again while ignoring offense for over a decade. I want to watch us lose 60-40 every week. Until that’s the norm I don’t want a dime spent on the defensive side of the ball. We hired a DC to coach this team, let him figure out how to coach players up instead of wasting resources time and again on a defense that hasn’t won jack shit for us in decades.

A Sauce Gardner trade is probably out of the question given the recent extension. But he is a Detroit kid and Detroit needs corners. I actually like Sauce Gardner but if the Lions really offer something nice you gotta take it.

WR McCloud III was released by the Falcons today. Non football issue. We should pick him up.
