You have to clarify the confusion though: is it a 4th down or 1st down now and will we have the ball to start the second half of the season?
The fucking lack of awareness of the game situation has been unbelievably bad. These are basic fucking things that ANY coach should understand. How much time left on the clock, what yard line are we at, what is our fucking GOAL for this possession before halftime, what is the score and game situation. It’s like he has no fucking clue. Last night the Broncos got the ball with like 30 seconds and drove for a game winning FG. We get the ball with 3 minutes and let the clock run out.. I’ve never seen so many blunders it’s literally unbelievable.
are you talking about before the half? We did not get the ball with 3 minutes left. We got the ball with 1:05 left. And they were doing fine with trying to score until Fields took 2 sacks. And then yeah they let the clock run out on their sorry asses but they werent moving the ball forward much
Stumbled into this post by Victor Green: https://x.com/victorgreen2121/status/1977766166794789148 "Guys, I see the comments. I agree w a lot of them. I stand by AG. But after assessing his staff there’s definitely a need for changes in OC, DC." I get that Victor is loyal to his guy, but if you definitely need changes to both OC and DC, don't you think HC may have a problem as well?
Watching Lions vs TB, you can see how much juice the Lions have. They’re playing angry because last week they had their asses handed to them. The team literally has the attitude of Campbell, it permeates. That’s what a HC can do. Glenn does not have the charisma nor the character to lead. That’s why he’s calling coaches around the league who’ve “been through this” looking for advice. It was the same with Saleh. They’re unsure, and players see right through that.
Today so far the D is great, but to be fair they did concede 24 ppg before that. Either way though, Detroit is the team that always won with their offense when Glenn was there and even now. Campbell is an offensive guy too as a player and coach. It's just bizarre that we picked the coach from the best offensive team ... who coached defense there, with very mixed results to be generous. but mostly bad. Meaning he wasn't a key reason for their success. And yet we still got him as a HC. Unfortunately the miracle didn't happen and he could not get the offense going. And even on defense mixed results so far just like he had in Detroit: ranked #26 but trending up. Just not a good situation all around, but frankly a likely outcome given the previous accomplishments (or lack thereof).
I don’t know about you, but I’m just shocked that Tannenbaum didn’t get this right for us. Just shocked I tell you.
I thought it was a good idea Woody got 33d team involved and didn't do it himself, since he is a total imbecile, but somehow they managed to do even worse. Usually Woody selects a DC who had a great defense before, but this time he picked a DC, whose defense was just OK at best, mostly below average. Maybe now that he has Spielman on his staff, Spielman can do better without Tanny? I really don't know. But I do know that baring a miraculous turnaround that I do not see happening, we need to mayo Glenn and try again.
