With the season done at 0-7 is it perhaps time to see what Brady Cook has to offer as an NFL quarterback? IMO, TT2 showed he’s a backup at best against the Panthers. What the fuck does AG and this team have to lose? How much worse could it be? See if the kid has any game. JF7 surely ain’t NFL QB material. He has talent and he can run, but his passing is unreliable for NFL standards. Additionally, in JF I see the same indecisiveness as we saw in ZW reading the field and holding onto the ball way too long. Can JF catch the ball? Turn him into a slot receiver. Just a thought. Or maybe a running back seeing how injuries have depleted our RB room. I’m thinking why not give Brady Cook an opportunity to showcase what he’s got. Maybe he will surprise. If not, nothing lost nothing gained. At 0-7 the Jets are cooked. Maybe the Cook on the roster will miraculously become our Brady. Crazier things have happened, but again, what the fuck do the Jest have to lose? Have a good evening everyone.
I'd want to see what Cook has, but they shouldn't consider throwing him in there until Wilson is back, otherwise they'd be setting him up for failure right out of the gate.
Fields legitimately can't pass at all and Taylor is an interception machine. How much worse could Cook be? Still blows my mind we aren't designing more runs for Fields though, it's the only thing he's legitimately good at. Are we scared he'll get hurt? It's not like he's our QB of he future. None of it makes sense.
Probably we give Tyrod a shot practicing with the 1st team for a few weeks and starting. Then Brady Cook. Then back to Fields. The real solution is to dump Glenn after the season and find a real HC who can run an offense and develop a QB, whom we will draft next year.
Why back to Fields? $30M buys him playing time I guess. He's a goner at the end of the year. Firing Glenn now would preclude ANY known HC candidate from even considering the Jets job as it would verify Woody as a meddlesome owner who doesn't know what the fck he's doing. We're stuck with Glenn and Mougie's learning curve for the foreseeable future. Might be a good time to walk away from this team short term.

Weekly... What matters is Woody will not stand to have $30M on the bench the rest of the year. Granted, Fields played horribly, but given the way the press conferences have gone in recent weeks, one can't help but wonder if the move was made largely because of a desire to appease the fans. To go from "what kind of question is that?" to benched in a span of two quarters is a pretty big leap. If this is the case, it's perhaps the most alarming evidence of incompetence on display so far.
