Playing Goldschmidt still makes no sense even in a bullpen game where you’re trying to protect your lefties. Bullpen relievers in large part all throw hard and he might have the slowest bat in the lineup. He’s a better defender than Rice but you’re really not gaining a ton there. He’s not the gold glover he was.

Can’t completely kill Boone for bringing Devin Williams in since he’s the freshest but I think you want to bring a power pitcher into that spot looking for a strikeout or Cruz who is probably your most reliable post season pitcher. Also wouldn’t have hated seeing Bednar there.
