I meant the actual buoy, not the forecast (which buoy weather is).... I always check the buoys nearest to where we plan to fish as soon as I wake up. I have definitely gone back to bed on more than one occasion https://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/obs.shtml
That’s a cool link thanks. Too bad there is only one buoy near the Hudson Canyon where we fish. I’ll still use it.
12 days until Pulley Ridge. I'm hoping the Storms stay on the Atlantic side. Already got my gear set although I'm torn how much SPJ gear to bring. 2 Deep Drop rods/reel combos, 1 trolling rig, 1 SPJ rig, 1 vermilion rig.
Very nice... yeah, looks like Atlantic will be active that week... hopefully the Gulf of Mexico won't be. Im sure you have plenty of jigs but I saw some heavy Mustads (400G) and Daiwas on sale 1/2 off: https://fishermenssource.com/collec...r.p.vendor=Mustad&filter.p.product_type=Lures
Boys went out yesterday for an overnighter to the Hudson. I have a family event this weekend so didn’t go. They got called into the Bacardi and limited out in an hour. 12 niceYellowfin in the 40 to 50 lb range. Ice being limited they decided to head for the barn. Got to dock around 9:30PM dock party lasted til 1:00AM Stuffed the carcasses with ice will cut up today.
That's awesome any reports of tuna further north / closer? not sure my cousin's boat has the range for that trip...
That is a long ride to the Bacardi but those Yellows are there and they are chewing. Chunks and 60 lb leaders. Float them they are on top. Shearwaters and Tuna Chicks all over them. Chunk but not to heavy lots of Mako's around.
