There was a press conference earlier in the year in which a reporter asked Glenn if he was worried about the Jets not being able to pass well because it's a passing league.

Glenn responded - "Is it? Did you see who won the Super Bowl last year?"

This is moronic. The reality is that MOST of the best teams are teams that can pass well. Outliers with incredible running games do not disprove the general trend.

My concern is that we have yet another coach who is 20 years behind major league trends. If so, we are screwed, because you cannot overcome your coach being so fundamentally wrong about what constitutes an effective offense.

Every offense functions best when it's balanced. The problem with our team over the past 15 years is that we have never even had a minimally viable passing game. Forget leading the league in passing or anything crazy - we have never even passed well enough to keep defenses honest.

 

1:52 is a significant amount of time for almost any other team in this league.

What is it that 50-60 FGs are gimme’s these days? I thought they changed something with the K balls but man kickers are just crushing long FGs this year

 

What an absolute fucking train wreck of a half that was. The quarterback can’t throw so the coordinator has to call the worst two minute drill I’ve ever seen. The defense can’t stop a nosebleed. We can’t stop turning the ball over. Flags galore. Just an abomination top to bottom.
