    Fully agree.

But... does he play like one?

I conceded in my second sentence of the same post he hasn’t been good for the last year. Did you read it dude? Lol.

In Sauces defense, that was an iffy call at best and if that happened later in the game it would of never been called.

The PI call was utter garbage.

    Get off Sauce Gardner’s back

If you watch him you’d see he has been playing hard all season. Yesterday he was matched up with Mike Evans. Evans is a hall of fame receiver and he’s busting his ass against Evans all day

learn the game of football, you win some matchups, you lose some, especially when it’s against someone as good as Evans

if you want to get on someone that got paid, how about Garrett Wilson?

Too lazy to break up a pick 6 before the half, too lazy to fight for a 1st down late in the game

but he is never criticized and Gardner gets shit on.

Unfortunately he's going to start being on the the negative side of calls, after getting away with being "grabby" the past few years... especially when it's against a star WR.
I thought he played well yesterday though, especially given the matchup.

    Wilson’s been underwhelming too.

He’s somewhat a prisoner of who’s throwing him the ball though so it’s easier to not criticize. The pick 6 effort was pretty egregious.

I’m definitely not a Rodgers groupie but Rodgers may have been right about Wilson.

It seems he wants to just run around and catch like it’s a flag football exhibition, he doesn’t seem to want to do some of the things professional wide receivers do

Is there a quote somewhere of what Rodgers had to say about Wilson?

Back to the topic. What the hell is wrong with this defense? We allow them to march down the field in critical situations with wide open receivers getting a ton of space and yardage. We over pursue like a bunch of high school players. We miss first contact tackles, and we cannot stop them and get off the field on third down.
We lost, correction, we absolutely gave away two hard fought games allowing last second drives and winning field goals. We can't keep a lead no matter what, yet the first bitch around here is the play of the offense. so far Wilkes has shown nothing, and the play of the secondary even less.

I actually didn’t think the defense was all that bad yesterday at least in the sense that they weren’t disorganized. Baker made a LOT of tight window throws in the perfect spot and Egbuka made some pretty awesome catches with great footwork along the sideline.

They have to figure out this letting QB’s run all over them bullshit though. It’s so back breaking. It can be a function of man coverage since there are no eyes on the QB but the pass rush needs to maintain lane integrity.

Bucky Irvin & White had 78 yards on 30 carries. That’s really good.

Some of the stats may look decent but the eye test says otherwise, and worst of all, this defense absolutely fails in crunch time. When we NEED a stop to win a game, they can’t do it.

    That’s just bad

I guess but I was basing it off eye test first and then checked the box score.

They were 4/13 on 3rd down yesterday. The Jets gave up a pick 6 on offense and lost a strip sack leading to a FG when they gave up net 1 yards and the BS “facemask” call on Clemons.

So if they ended up giving up 19 points in total would you say that’s a bad day?

No one stops anyone in the two minute drill anymore these days unfortunately. Especially when teams need 20 yards to get into FG range.

LA, did you watch the 1st few minutes of AG presser today? I think this is the first instance where this HC recognizes the issues we see... and that he has his work cut out for him. He didn't exhibit the typical macho BS but seem humbled somewhat... that is my take, see what you think.

Yes the facemask call was BS and so was the earlier PI call on Sauce on Evans down the sideline…but still…a defense needs to make a stop to win a game

Our defense so far (same with what feels like the previous 10) is they can't create turnovers ever. No picks, no fumble recoveries in 3 games (is Will McDs block fg score on D or special teams?)

Jacksonville already has 7 picks, Minnesota 6, Buffalo 5.....

And can a damn fumble please bounce our way once?
