This why I can’t even play the moral victory game with this one. We got absolutely boat raced all day and then played actual NFL football for 12 mins. The defensive scheme is completely broken and the D has very little talent on it regardless. Engstrand called as bad a game as I’ve seen from a Jets OC. I have no reason to believe anything will carry over other than what we saw in quarters 1-3.

12 minutes is generous. The defense is the worst in the NFL and the offense looked almost as bad today before TB stopped playing and allowed 2 garbage time TDs.

The Bucs should be hanging their heads in shame the way they played defense in the 4th quarter - the Jets should not have been in with any sort of chance - still it made for an entertaining end to the game.

Either the end of the '25 Jet season OR... The Rise of the Phoenix in Tyrod Taylor.

McDonald not taking a knee at the one was a killer...

Good point. What a dumbass for blocking the kick AND scoring the game leading touchdown.

I wish I was being sarcastic, I’m not, you make a good point. They could’ve ran the clock and tush-pushed it in for the win

Why God‘s name would he take a knee at the 1? Guarantee yourself the lead or pray you can take the lead? I think there’s a reason you’re not seeing anybody else say he should have done this.

that’s the NFL these days, it’s a stupid league with stupid rules and you win by making stupid decisions. If McDonald had went out of bounds at the 1, the Jets win that game

you make this sound so simple. Not to mention TB had two timeouts plus a chance to stop us from scoring. In no world was this the right move.

you’re assuming a touchdown. Why would you do that?

Tampa Bay still had 2 timeouts ended up running a minute or so off the clock themselves at the end before kicking the FG. If they got the ball back with a minute left and no time outs they still would've won the game. Besides the fact that going down or out of bounds when you need a TD is absolutely moronic.

You do that so you don’t have to see Baker Mayfield throw a 30 yard pass 5 seconds later and effectively lose the football game

I'm starting to feel bad for Glenn, he seems like a really great guy, honest , the press is really starting to put him on the spot, he may quit after 1 year

they had two timeouts. You’d have maybe a minute pass. You have to score first, and then you still give the Bucs all the time they need to do exactly what they did.

You 100% take the lead as soon as you get the chance.

Honestly thats gotta be one of the worst played football games ive seen in my life.

21 penalties between the 2 teams, more if they weren’t declined. A pick 6 and a FG block returned for a TD that somehow was a bad thing cause you knew the lead would be blown and it was, almost immediately

the only quality football being played was Mike Evans vs Sauce Gardner and both left with injury anyway

what a mess. Setting football back years

You don’t kneel at the one after blocking a kick down a touchdown lol.

Philosophically you don’t do it. But you also can’t expect a guy with that adrenaline rush after jumping over the center, blocking the kick and sprinting for his life to think about that.
