Time to play Smith. See what the kid brings to the table. Might as well find out now instead of waiting. Not real sure what the delay is given the Jets #2 Wr situation is at best, shaky.

And hope that he's better than the last few terrible WR's the Jets have drafted, not named G Wilson. It defy's the odds how one team can get so many drafts wrong at the same position...

Agreed with the previous 2 posts. There is literally nothing to lose. It's already an uphill battle vs The Bills. Let's see if maybe we get a breakout player in a pivotal game at a position of need. His time at Alabama should hopefully help manage that pressure.

Hey we’ve beaten the bills before? And with less talent as I recall

    Just hopeful;))

That's the beauty of not having a real #2 WR but bunch of 3/4 types: when one scrub is out, another scrub can just step in without any drop off at all.

No one can contain Josh Allen 100%. BUT, I'll take our chances with WMD and Jermain on the outsides (if they're willing to play contain vs pass rush every down), and the Williams Brothers in the middle. Our Run-D completely shut down the Steelers last week (albeit with an immobile QB).

WMD's shoestring sack of Josh last year when he was about to break off a 30 yards run is still fresh in my mind!

I'll be happy if we can hold Josh to under 300 yards running!!!! OK, maybe 299.

I've often marveled at this. How certain teams seem to ALWAYS draft a certain position well. Even the Jets. The Jets have this odd knack of find pretty decent secondary talent. The obvious picks not withstanding, you go over the years, nay, decades, and this team actually drafts defense, in general, pretty well. Couldn't hit the broadside of a barn getting WR's & QB's but defense, especially in the secondary, the Jets are your team. Same goes for the Squeelers. How does a team, known for it's defense and running game, keep finding WR's? Up and down the various levels of draft board. I dunno, was just musing...

For sure, the Steelers are ridiculously good at drafting the WR position. The Jets have to be one of the worst after using multiple high draft picks on WR and getting literally nothing from 2nd and 3rd rounders. To make matters even worse, they haven't lucked into any low rounders, UFA either that have over-achieved. From memory, Jerricho Cotchery might be the last good WR that was drafted outside of G Wilson?
