That's right, all of you AG haters /SOJFs/Rodgers fans can now complain until your heart's content right here. Knock yourselves out. I'm asking politely but only asking once. Keep that OUT OF THE GAME THREADS. Your constant whining, moaning and bitching is ruining the game day thread for everyone else trying to enjoy the game. We get it. You Hate the Aaron Glenn hire. You Hate that Rodgers got cut. You hate everything the Jets will try to do until the entire FO/CS is fired. That's all well and good but understand we're tired of reading it every week so that ends now. Again, this will be your thread to shit on the Jets all the time for the next 17 games and beyond... Enjoy!
Thank you for creating this. Anyone bitching about the coaching staff after one game should probably be ignored and this is a great way to find out who all of those people are.
Glenn got humbled and deserved this. He couldn't wait to kick Rodgers out the building only for Rodgers to come back and drop 4 TDs & a game winning drive on him. Probably humbling to for all the people who wanted to put all the blame on Rodgers for last season and said he couldn't play anymore and is done. Max pain. It was clearly Saleh/Ulbrich. Rodgers and the Steelers will have a big year this year, meanwhile the Jets could have had that.
Glenn did not in any way get humbled except possibly in the mind of someone who roots for a departed player rather than the team he professes to. Aaron Rodgers had a good game today - better than any he had in the past two years.
Im allowed to be angry because I want to see the Jets make a playoff run. Instead we will get to watch the Steelers do that because of Glenn.
He did get humbled. He kicked Rodgers out. Why? who knows, likely because he thought Rodgers was the problem, couldnt play anymore, and couldnt win with him
You can do whatever you want, just don't be shocked when people tell you how stupid your opinions are (because your provide almost 0 substance to support them, not because we disagree) and how tired we are of them. You're a net negative on this website.
How are my points stupid? I spent all offseason arguing that Rodgers can still play while the large consensus was Rodgers was done. That didnt work out too well yesterday huh? Makes sense why people are so upset over the defense today because everyone thought Rodgers was not capable of anything.
The truth is most people are mad at me today because they were so confident in the offseason that Rodgers was done and getting rid of him was the only path. After yesterdays 4 TD performance and game winning drive it has triggered people. They will now say they thought he could play but they still needed to move on, etc. If Rodgers had performed poorly everyone would be celebrating and saying they were vindicated. Instead he played well. If Rodgers was the QB for this team, they would be contenders. Now instead Pittsburgh will be contenders thanks to the genius Aaron Glenn. Its been 15 years and I am tired of mediocrity. Glenn to me basically sent a message that he wants expectations low rather than high. If he brought back Rodgers the expectations would be high. Glenn has a losers mentality from the start and I dont like what I am seeing.
Again, nobody got humbled. And you just admitted you don't know why Rodgers got kicked to the curb. Here's a hint - the team is being made over and Rodgers is never sure he's coming back; odds are he'll be out of the NFL next year. There is certainly no way he's around for the long run. Yeah, he had a decent day yesterday but he had a few in the last few years. The problem is "few" is too few, he's not getting any younger.
You're waffling, Soxxx. Two days ago it was "everybody" who said Rodgers was done - now it's just a "large consensus". In the end, it's still all crap if it comes from you.
Everybody is consensus. Quit nitpicking. Ok but I wanted to find out who Glenn is in year one rather go the Saleh route and find out after 4 years he's not competent. I'm not denying Fields played well. He did. Are we expecting Fields to sustain that level of play? I'm not as confident he can sustain it. He did play well. I'm hoping it continues next week.
How many people here need to tell you they disagree before we have a consensus? If you don't want to wait four years to find out if a coach is competent does that mean you were correct in making that assumption before the first game was even played? Are we to expect a player who is 41 years old to remain consistent longer than a player who is 26? And do we want the kind of consistency that older player has shown over the last five years? Good luck to you next week if you expect your boy on the team ranked number 16 to have an easier time with a team ranked number 19 than the one ranked number 27 that it took a 60 yard field goal to beat.
Going for 2 was a bad decision. Had they just kicked that XP after the penalty, the game is tied near the end of the 4th instead of the Jets being down 2 (wouldn't have needed the other 2pt conversion). Although that was literally what they signed up for brining 40 year old Nick Folk back. Even in his prime he'd miss the close ones.
