Watching it, probably could have made it from 70, seeing that unfold, I had flashbacks to Doug Brien costing the Jets
I just returned from the game. It was a great game the Jets played so much better than I thought they would. It was a very entertaining game. Fields looks so fast in person the amount of ground he covers and he makes it look effortess and he made some nice throws today. But it FRICKIN SUCKS they found a way to lose AGAIN. 26-17 Jets lead I'm daring to dream about a Jets win and in the blink of an eye it's 31-26 Steelers lead. Jets came back to retake the lead but choked down the stretch. Steelers kicker made two kicks from midfield typical Jets luck. Jets missed out on 2 extra points going for 2 twice it came back to bite them in the ass they lost by two points. There were so many Steelers fans there omg. But unlike the majority of other Jets games I've been to no one left early and there didn't appear to be many empty seats in the house.
I don't use their service often really only when I go to Jets games or a event at Metlife. With that out of the way. Their service was bad when I went to one of the club World Cup semifinal matches back in July. NJ transit STINKS. I left my home around 9:30 am I got to Penn station 11 am. The first train to depart to Secaucus Junction was supposed to depart 11:38 am after a short time the screen showed that was cancelled the next train to depart to Secaucus Junction 12:01 pm. They have people board that train then after a short time a announcement that train was being delayed go to the train on track 4. I missed the pregame festivities, opening kickoff, Jets first drive etc. I was at Penn Station at 11 am what the...
I actually can. They don’t talk about it much but they made kicking easier this year with the footballs they use and he’s a good kicker What is messing me up is the lucky play to get into his range, the ball that bounced off 4 guys into Metcalfs lap on the ground!!
I did: The defense failed to keep the opponent from scoring on their final defensive stance, and the offense failed to score on their last offensive drive, resulting in a loss. How many games in the past 15 years would fit the above description?
Yes, a nomenclature error invalidates any opinion I must have. Notice it was so outrageous that you still managed to figure out who I intended to speak about.
As long as we're nominating guys who lost the game, let's not eliminate Quincy Williams for a very untimely, costly dumbass penalty on the late hit out of bounds. There's all kinds of ways to lose a game.
Yeah goes back to the Saleh way, dumb costly mistakes at crucial moments, lack of discipline, dumb bad penalties, straight out of Salehs playbook. Now lets see how Aaron Glenn handles "accountability", Is he a Saleh clone with worse defense? Or can he actually coach and hold players accountable?
Only the "L" in the stats was the same result as most of the Jets recent experience. Everything else looked different to me, but I have said since last season that's what I cared about this year.
it would have been half empty if the Steelers fans didnt fill it up lol. Was a fun game to watch on tv too. Was nice to be ahead most of the game for a change. You maybe can recover from a kickoff lost fumble early in a game but not in the 4th. Thats why we lost. If we can run the ball like that often then we are going to be a problem for most teams.
"defense.....yikes"? Why yikes? They gave up a lot of points in a high scoring game but were in it to the end. But "yikes" would indicate they were horrible, or worse today. They weren't. They made mistakes and were weak in the secondary - they did not get blown out. A quick check at the NFL stats for the 28 teams who have completed games this week shows that your comment, while dramatic, bears little relation to reality. How did the Jets defense really stack up with the NFL as a whole? They were #26/28 in points allowed excluding PATs - poor. They were #19/28 in passing yards allowed and 13/28 in the longest (31) - average/average. They were #4/28 in rushing yards allowed and 3/28 in the longest (9) - good/good. They were tied at #1/28 in forced fumbles with 2 - excellent/excellent. They were tied at #3/28 in sacks with 4 - good/good. YIKES!
They seriously did look different than they did in the past 10 years. They looked prepared for this game. Under Bowles, Gase, and Saleh, they came into every game looking like they hadn't bothered to watch film or even come up with a game plan. It always seemed to take a quarter, if not an entire half, to make adjustments under those coaches, if they were able to do so at all, and often if they did, it was already too late. Admittedly, there were costly mistakes in this game, and that was what cost them the game. But overall, they weren't sloppy like in the past. There weren't multiple false starts and delays of game on every drive, they weren't having 1st downs repeatedly being called back on holding, they weren't constantly roughing the passer on defense and holding receivers every time. I'm definitely not excusing the mistakes they made; Williams' late hit extended a drive that led to a touchdown, Stephens' pass interference put Bosworth where he needed to be to win the game. But the fact that stupid penalties were not a constant thing shows that they're moving in the right direction. This does not look like the undisciplined group of the last three coaches.
