As soon as we cut him, he'll go onto great career with a different team.

Seeing a lot of talk about Tippmann at guard but honestly is there really much of a drop off from Vera-Tucker to Xavier Newman?

I don’t think there’s much, and if he’s the backup guard maybe you just plug him instead

Just get rid of this guy. He is always hurt. The most important ability is availability.

As of 1:25pm, there has been no insight as to what the injury is, if he will need surgery, or how long he will out, unless I am missing something.

Ugh that sucks…I hadn’t seen that yet but it sucks…and yeah it may be the end of his career here…assuming he gets the surgery and decides to keep playing, he’ll be looking at cheap one or two year prove it type deals…doesn’t necessarily mean that can’t happen here, but man, it sure does suck…when healthy, he’s very good

Vera-Tucker was always wildly overrated here because of goofy Nania articles.

I want a dominant player if I’m spending a top 15 pick (including a trade up) on a guard. He was never a dominant player. There wasn’t even much of a sample size to even say he was good?

You are correct. He was a player with dominant SKILLS, but he was NOT a dominant player.

    Dominant players actually PLAY.

Another ding on JD’s drafting with the Jets. Take 2022 out of the equation and it looks downright awful.

True, but right now, for this year, having him healthy is the best solution, and keeping all our options open to upgrade for next year. As it is, now we have to reshuffle players around before the season even started. Most unfortunate, I think.

WTF, guy makes it through the preseason and gets a season ending injury now, 4 days before the season? Not exactly the time you expect to hear about something like this. Talk about bad luck

I guess it can work. On the surface foil is made of metal and pretty versatile, but it also tears like paper.

I believe there is a big drop off. We were .563 with him in 23 and .300 without him. He is a damned good starter, problem is durability. I feel very bad for him. I think by putting Tippmann at guard we potentially downgrade two starter roles.
