Whichever tiger team picked the name Death Valley second = pussies. Yeah, I could google it. Easier just to hate on them both.
Final thoughts on LSU-Clemson from me - - Nussmeier and Klubnik both looked like the guys I thought they were, playing their first game of the season. Anyone putting either of them at No. 1 in the draft jumped too early. Anyone putting Klubnik near the top of the draft is excused from class for the rest of the semester. - The mythical quality Harold Perkins had as a freshman is back. Not that 2024 was a bad year - just quieter, thanks to that moronic experiment at inside LB. - I don’t like Brian Kelly because he’s a whiny bitch. There’s another reason that I can’t put my finger on, I can only describe. LSU’s offense in the first half had modest success running, nothing through the air, and nothing sustainable enough to score points. The best example was how they needed a half-assed gadget play to keep the last drive of the first half going. Yea worked. Barely. Then, with 30 seconds left in the first half, 4th and 2 inside the 5, a one-score game, Clemson not doing much more against your defense than you are against theirs - and you go for it??!!! With THAT play??!! I want to call it arrogance, it just feels like something else. He’s not stoopid. He just reliably chooses to do stoopid things. - I watched with a female, elderly, non-football person (my mom) who had observations I never considered. A few favorites: - On the Clemson logo: “That’s not a tiger paw - there aren’t any claws!” Also, neither team had stripes. That’s a problem. “When you think of tigers you think of stripes. Maybe teeth. Not paws!” - Brian Kelly needs to be careful - he has bad skin. Lucky for him this was a night game. - There’s no good explanation for the name Dabo, or what his mother must have been thinking. However, best to just shut your yap and live with comments on Dabo. Telling someone that he has a “nice, normal name” like William Christopher only adds more questions. - By the size of the crowd, apparently there’s nothing else to do around Clemson. Heh.
Sellers is so damn fucking strong. It’s nuts watching guys bounce off him. I don’t use that worse lightly either. They literally bounce off him upon contact. Ridiculous to see a 25 YEAR OLD running back playing for South Carolina. That’s a grown ass man playing against some 18 year olds. When will the NCAA get a handle on these fucking waivers?
Klubnik is who I think he’s always been. He’ll still put up great numbers against a weak ACC schedule where they don’t really play anyone the rest of the way but I don’t think he’s any sort of big time prospect. I do like Dabo and give him a lot of respect for resisting the transfer portal, giving Klubnik a chance to develop and legitimately trying to build a real roster the “old” way. He catches a lot of hate because he talks a lot of shit but he’s the last of a dying breed. Another thought - how in the world does Kalen Deboer survive the season at Alabama? I never really quite understood how a guy who had one good year as a head coach got the most coveted position in college football? That game was a disgrace yesterday. I think they most likely have the best roster in CFB, new quarterback or not. He also was dying to get a “pocket passer” like Simpson as he hated the idea of Milroe all year last year.
Very Satisfying to watch Belichick and the Tar Heels gettting kicked around at home by a TCU that isn’t even good
48-14 Tarheels embarrassed. They would’ve put up 50 easily if they didn’t kneel it out 500+ yards from TCU on Steve Belichick’s vaunted defense lol
My "cousin" dropped off his son off at UNC last week (going to play LAX... and maybe study sometimes )..... He's meeting Bill next week as I guess he's good friends with LAX coach. I told him to relay "Uncle B says you're a pussy if you don't show up wearing your JETS gear" lol
Amusing side-activity - tracking Google stats on “Kalen DeBoer buyout”. $63 million, if you’re wondering. I’m in on Saturday’s spike.
Belichick's fetal girlfriend was on the sideline talking to him while he was coaching a football game. That's just amazing to me.
Me too. Unless she knits, it’s the most un-Belichick thing I could ever imagine. Only two people on the planet who don’t think this eventually blows up into a Page Six disaster. Couldn’t care less who wins, I’m rooting for the Hurricane Katrina of breakups. Times ten.
Florida State vs East Texas A&M, 77-3. This is my biggest issue with college football. Can’t blame FSU - everyone does it. Fan support and TV contracts built college football into a multi-billion dollar sport and P4 teams still think it’s ok to give us horseshit games and horseshit reasons why they play them. Like it’s some noble gesture when big programs get to teabag small programs in exchange for a million dollar check. Maybe 20 years ago, not today. Any money issues in 2025 are solvable. Realignment proved that. We shouldn’t have to pretend anymore like these are real football games. They could end tomorrow if the CFP committee were serious about strength of schedule by assigning negative value to games where competition isn't the sole focus. Can’t find any competitive teams with open dates? Sorry, that’s a self-created problem. Keep your weak-ass scrimmage and accept the CFP penalty or buy out the cupcake school and look harder.
No it wouldn’t, I live bet Florida +2. I’m a closet If there are any teams I’d say I have allegiances to it’s the Gators first since I was a huge fan of them during the Tebow and Joakim Noah runs growing up. I’m not really a “fan” per se but I do root for them and follow them. Rutgers & Syracuse secondarily due to proximity and family ties. But really, Billy Napier clearly ain’t the guy. He was a really good coach at a small program that played as an underdog in most of their games. He beat a bunch of teams he shouldn’t have, but it’s not working in the SEC. I think Lagway is a tremendous talent and it’s wild he landed him. They need to make a change before he pisses his career away. @stinkyB - thoughts as a Jacksonville native?
USF giving Florida a game in the Swamp. Two and half minutes left, UF up 16-15, USF with the ball and Florida getting stupid at just the right time. Interference followed by flagrant unsportsmanlike, and USF moves 50-yards into FG range. Now they just have to chug out a few yards for a safer kick and not leave time for Florida to do anything about it. ETA: mission accomplished. 18-16 USF. Heh. Awesome. ETA #2: Oops. I forgot. I meant to say - sorry, JV. Tough loss.
He's only a redshirt sophomore, but Dylan Lonergan from BC can really play. Very poised, moves well in the pocket, keeps his eyes downfield and has great ball placement. His first half against Michigan St was absolutely phenomenal. 18/22 ( with at least 2 drops) and 3 TDs. Look out for this kid
