Playing in the flesh would be better than those colour rush things, they were disgusting. My new black top arrived today, it has KO'B spelled correctly on the back, looks weird after all this time lol anyway if you see it in London feel free to say FO or Hi whatever you want
A team name like "Jets" lends itself to so many potentially cool uniform designs that it's almost impressive that this franchise has never been able to capitalize on the potential there. And, with that, these uniforms are once again peak Jets.
obsessed with spelling out the word Jets on the helmet, instead of doing something cool like idk, putting a jet on it. imagine the eagles always spelling out eagle and never putting a freaking bird anywhere on their uniform And when your color is green, black is not a good complement vibrant green and white, a jet wing helmet, I’m not a designer but this is easy stuff
Agree with all of these sentiments…the fact that we can’t seem to come up with anything other than writing out the word Jets is criminal. There are SO many cool logos you can use a Jet for, but no… It was super funny to see that behind the scenes documentary when we went back to the 1980s uni’s where they interviewed the trainer guy who designed the current Jets logo and he was so proud of how he flunked out of art school. It’s like, yeah, we can see why. I personally hate the current logo…I think it is THE most amateurish, kindergartenish, unimaginative piece of crap looking logo…wow…the J extends into a line with a silouette of a plane! OMG. It’s childish. I like the clean look of the uni’s now … better than the previous Gase ones, and the only reason the helmet works is because the shade of green we have now is pretty freaking cool and amazing, but outside of that, the logo sucks. I get we are nostalgic for the sack exchange days maybe, but if you go back and watch those games, our uniforms looked ass…the helmet was boring as shit. Personally, I love the Namath era logo much better, and those uni’s were very cool…but with today’s jersey cuts with no sleeves, it doesn’t work as well especially when the two stripes don’t go all the way around the shoulder like they used to…when they cut off halfway down they just look dumb. But then, overall I think Nike has shit the bed…the Starter and Reebok jerseys from before Nike were much cooler…
Sometimes I struggle to keep up with the average Jet misanthrope. Let's see, as Jet fans we all hate: 1. Our team 2. Our owner 3. Our stadium 4. Our Qbs 5. Our normal uniforms 6. Our alternative uniforms Etc, etc...... Remind me Jet fans, what do we like again?
Apparently not. We continuously follow/cheer for a team that gives us very few I thought during the off season "hope springs eternal".....
What are those? I'm OK with the current look, although I'm perfectly willing to admit that it very may well be due to a combination of having incredibly low expectations for this franchise as well as the fact that quite literally anything that they came up with after those abysmal Gase-era jerseys would have been a vast improvement. They could have quite literally trotted out there with a logo-less helmet and the most no-frills jersey/pant combination imaginable and it would have been better than that clipart football in front of the word "Jets".
Very much agreed. That particular logo is the best part of the current rebrand. I'd actually been saying that they should make a logo like that and use it on the helmet even before they debuted it a year ago.
I have agree there. This shade of green and what they did with it on the helmets is bad ass. Love how the shade and color move with the angle of view. The Namath/Testeverde era is still the best but feel you on the sleeve. At this point, slap a couple of F16's on the helmet and "take off."
