Also consider the nature of blackmail. Once the secret is out in the open, the leverage that blackmail provides is over.

Yeah it will completely undermine confidence in this administration and the government in general.

If she does get a pardon, I hope the magat faggots revolt against the fat orange man or go home in defeat and kill themselves out of shame. Like the noble samurai.

They know what he was doing... they're either going to drop him or they're trying to work out a plan to save their own asses when it comes out what everyone but his cult know.

they wont drop him. just figuring out a way to 'spin' it so they are on the same page. The strategy of trying to downplay it and distract everyone doesn't appear to be working so they need something new.

I think a previous poster is correct they will just claim Maxwell said trump is innocent and she will be rewarded in exchange. She has already been moved to a better facility so thats probably already in motion

I can't speak for her because I just picture her as someone who fell up but Vance is cunning and calculated. He's smart and has aspirations on something higher up the food chain. The idea that anyone with half a brain who isn't in a cult will buy that Maxwell said he was innocent so it must be true is going to accept that is really throwing a Hail Mary. Vance also has really evil people like Thiel behind him. The moving of the goal posts by these people is a sight to behold.

Amazing how she said she never saw him do anything concerning…. So, what’s her idea of “concerning”? . When was she ever concerned ?

What I find amazing is that a person that lied under oath multiple times is now considered the pinnacle of integrity when it comes to whitewashing some rich and powerful people.

That’s ok, don’t look over there… look over here. Crime may go down in dc. Problem is, it’s never considered which side of the fence that most crime in dc happens .

why does he want to take over DC anyway? Crime is lower now there than it has been in years. It is a little concerning to me that they are hiring 10s of thousands of new ICE agents, and now this with DC

a foreign leader loading up on a paramilitary force and taking over the capital city in their country would raise eyebrows. but we trust its ok here

It might be like a "soft launch" plan

like when a restaurant opens early with a new concept for a little bit or a new menu item temporarily just to see how people react before rolling out bigger more permanent changes.

the president does the same here. How do Americans really feel about troops and military vehicles in the streets? are they buying our spin? ...Ok cool, no one really argued about DC so now lets try it in NY, LA, Chicago, "Main Street" Ohio, Texas, West Virginia, so on and so on....

Yup, I agree. A new norm. And surprising lack of pushback too
