I always liked the creamsicle uniform. It was unique and different. Love the pewter gear too but... Also miss "Pat the Patriot" helmets up in New England. Just memories from when I was a kid.
Agreed…I hate to say it, but that old Pats helmet and the classic Dolphins helmet were two of the best I think…I do love the classic helmets like the Steelers and Packers and Raiders as well, but I always liked those old Pats/Fins helmets…in any case they were much cooler than the ones those teams use today
No way man. This is the Jets we are talking about here. Even if they enter last week as #1 in draft order, we all know they will win the last game and will knock themselves out of Top 3. Besides, we have a good roster and a no nonsense Head Coach and a great defensive coordinator. If our OC pans out and if Fields plays to the expectations, we are talking at least 7-8 wins.
Jets have to prove it on the field. They don't get the benefit of the doubt from me this year. After "winning" the offseason the last two years with Rodgers and we all saw what happened once the season started. You may be right in that they will be competitive. Who knows.
I am with you Greg. I have zero expectations this year and very little enthusiasm. We won't be bad enough to pick Top 5 or good enough to make the playoffs. All I expect from this season is Glen to establish a gritty team culture. Anything above that is just gravy.
Yes, I've been totally wrong on my yearly prediction of "I think we suck" that I've been making since 1987.

I hate the Pat the Patriot helmet because it is in large part why I ended up becoming a Jets fan - about 40 years ago coming from the UK I liked the fact that the Pats had the name "England" in there but I thought that the logo of the guy bending over looked kind of goofy so I wrote them off and as my mate had picked the Giants I decided to go with the other NY team and settled on the Jets and the rest is a long and sad history (when I could've enjoyed the Brady years).
