Know nothing about Dart. What made Steelers pass on him in your opinion?

I don't follow college ball really but when Dart came up as a potential Jets pick in 2nd round I looked into him a bit and wasn't that impressed

You can get a solid QB next year. I think Fields going to be effective because of his legs. Get a good running game going, eat up the clock, move the chains, they should be effective with couple more offensive players.

I thought the Steelers would take him tbh.
That DL they got from Oregon is outstanding tho too, and perfect for the Steelers.
They are a team that lets good players fall to them and stick to their board. Might be looking QB in round 2.

Some run stuffing DTs should be around for us in the 2nd like Turner or Sanders. I like the idea of shoring up both lines early.

Since we need all kinds of help, though, I wonder if Jayden Higgins could fall to us in the 2nd. Big, solid WR. Or Jack Beck in the 3rd?

Are we picking top 5 next year or something?

Agreed on Fields moving the chains with his legs, and I'm looking forward to that.
Whether he stays here beyond this season depends on how he gels in this offense and makes his reads.
We may well be back to having no QB by season's end, and should keep picking QBs to create competition imo.

    Rounds 2-3:
QB, TE, WR, OG, and DT should all be in play as options

He’s meh. He’s not going to do well in NY. In the end the Giants just traded up into the first for a QB that’s 2nd/3rd round talent in most seasons.

Are the people that insisted on taking Sanders 7th overall seeing why that was met with laughs?

Not saying that. I think there s more depth for QBs.

Don’t know enough about him, but hearing some of the comments on the ESPN draft show would give me concerns…Mel Kiper pointing out some meltdowns against good competition, the other guys saying he needs to improve his progressions, I don’t know. He has a lot of the physical tools so who knows.

A bit curious as the Giants just signed Wilson and Winston, and sure feels like Daboll is in a win-now type year, so drafting a developmental QB is interesting.

If the explosively named Jihaad Campbell is still on the board we should pick him up. Good run defender and plays well in coverage. Talented enough to be worth the pick even though DT and WR are more pressing needs.
