Normally it's not a difficult choice, except he literally just was a part of this gold standard team and was fucked. Justin wants to go to a team where he can be a long term starting QB, just like anyone else. He believes in his talent. He was with Pitts, and they didn't. You do not bench a 25 year old who is playing well and leading them to 4-2 record if you think he is your long term answer. It does not happen, period. Even if you have diminished older Russ on the roster. It looks like Justin knows that and I hope he will not be gullible enough to come back. What will happen if he has a bad game? Will he be benched again? Here he will get a real shot to be a long term starter. And the difference between Pitts owner and Woody is that he found the right coach. That's it. The coach that benched Fields and doesn't believe in him. Tomlin made his choice when it mattered, and it was not Fields. Time to move on to the team that wants him, which is the Jets.
Ben Johnson is not the GM, where the hell was their GM last year? Also, where the hell was RS coaching staff pounding the tables or better still developing the OL rookies that seem to flourish elsewhere. Arguably the most incompetent staff ever.
Jaycee Horn is a beast but man 4/100m so what is Sauce going to ask for? I wouldn’t pay it tbh I would look into a trade maybe next off season. He will want 30m a year and is too inconsistent for that price tag
Looks like Ben made the guy do the right thing as he is basically running the show. Saleh didn't do that with JD, that was JD show.
I'm with you here. Somebody needs to teach that kid how to tackle. I'm sorry but he's not Deion Sanders. Not even close. A guy like that can get away with being a poor tackler. Not Gardner, get your ass in there and hit someone or we'll replace you. You pay $30mil a year for a COMPLETE corner. Not some dude that can't tackle when they DO catch the ball.
so far Jets are down starters at QB WR RT DT DE CB with no agreements to bring in replacements as of yet. Not the best start to "legal tampering"
I guess the Jets are tanking next season, every team making big moves while the Jets have lost their starting qb, maybe their best WR and maybe their best Cb and the great Mougey is asleep at the wheel. 1-16 here we come. Maybe we are tired of winning the offseason.
