What would his job be if stayed, anyway? Ball boy? The last thing anyone should be concerned about at this point is Rodgers' ego. So he throws a fit, so what. He's still going to blame everyone else, only this time it will be something even more delusional. No formal announcement yet so that is mildly concerning, but there's no way he gets retained, even in a lesser capacity. I just can't see it.
I know that compared to Hack, MILF looks like Shanahan, but we are way over glorifying MILF here. Let's not forget what happened before he got fired. Last 5 games of the season Zach didn't even play that much. They used 4 different QBs, including White and Flacco and even Streveler aside from Zach. ALL stunk, not just Zach. So, this narrative that MILF was great without Zach is not really true, at least not towards the end. Again, let's not forget why he got fired. Last 3 games of 2022 we scored 3, 6, and 6 points. Even if you go back two games before that: 17 and 10, that was with Zach (17) and White (10). We averaged 8 points in last 5 games (that's most critical 30% of the season), no matter who played QB, including 5 points in last 3. Now, with all that said, I am not blaming MILF, we just don't know how good he is, because with the OL that JD built no one could be successful. Flacco wasn't a terrible player as he proved the following year with the Browns. But without a serviceable OL, the offense cannot function - period. You can have a good game here and there, but it is not sustainable. Flacco would have definitely do better with a half decent OL. Mike While wouldn't get hurt. And even Zach would do better. That is why it is so infuriating what JD did to this team. Back breaking mistakes that caused us not only 6 years, but also possibly having a good young QB, like Sam or a coach like MILF. Johnsons are to blame for hiring JD and keeping him too long, but aside from owners, it is JD who is the main reason from football perspective why we sucked for 6 years and still don't have a QB.
True. The one thing that is for sure, however, no one in LA calls plays and modifies the playbook but the top dog HC himself. The OC staff plays a supporting role and executes. So it's harder to tell how much innovative and creative involvement the offensive staff has.
It's the same story with Sam. We couldn't really evaluate him because he was put in position to fail. No OL and no weapons. Similarly MILF also could not be evaluated because without at least serviceable OL you can't really run even cleverly designed plays. So, both of them really became scapegoats. The truth was that they simply could not be properly evaluated and JD put them that in that position. Sam looks like he is at least a solid starter, which is more than what we have had since (and really since Pennington). MILF who knows if he is a solid OC or maybe can even be a head coach one day. But JD is the reason why we don't know by failing to give MILF tools to be successful. JD really fucked this franchise in many major ways.
That's correct. Matt LaFleur is known as MLF, hence we have to distinguish him from Mike LaFleur. And as you pointed out MILF is easier to type than MiLF.
If he's smart, he heads north to Canada and plays in the CFL for a few years, then try for a comeback down the road.
Thanks. Not only did JD ruined us with that pick, but making him a starter while he wasn’t remotely ready destroyed not just the Jets, but MLF career and any Wilson future chances.
Mike London is our new QB coach. Bounced around a bit. Was with SEA last year. Seemed to work out well with Geno, maybe he’s who we need to develop our next QB.
