ive come to the point i despise rodgers a little bit. hes a cancer and is annoying as can be.

i wouldnt want him to stay because i want to see the jets build a great team and he wont allow that to happen. i think that they are just kicking the can down the road bringing a 41 year old ego maniac back. maybe they get a win or two more but at the expense of moving forward for another year. lets just move forward, back on track. young team with a bit of talent that could be great if they develop into a community and learn to play for each other.

Lol- so emotional. 3rd best statistical season EVER, super bowl winner, 3 time MVP, brought in a top 3 receiver….get a grip bud. He gives us and 20 other teams, the best chance to win on sundays

    I agree. The sideshow ends.

We need to find out what Glenn is and by bringing Rodgers back gives us the best opportunity to find out. If the Jets go to the playoffs next year then we know we have a good coach. Let's find out now rather waiting until 2027 or 2028 to find out if Glenn can coach or not.

After reading arguments on both sides, I don't think the Jets will bring back Rodgers next season. Aaron Glenn will want to take full charge of this team and change the culture and Rodgers is such a big star that he may want to do things his own way and interfere with the new culture. The Jets are done with him in my opinion.

If the Jets start 2-0 or 3-0 next year everyone will love Rodgers again.

As long as Rodgers is here, Mougey isn’t an actual general manager.

I hope the young man (younger even than Rodgers), pushes Rodgers out and goes full speed into the job

If what you're saying is supportable that's great - because it gives him twenty other places to be in September. He has done absolutely nothing to help the New York Jets become a better football team.

I've said all along if Rodgers wants to be here and the new FO wants him here I'm fine with it. Can't be a forced marriage.

With that said what concerns me are the Garrett Wilson rumors and the fact Breece looks miserable. If the young core don't want to play with Rodgers he has to go. The young guys are the present and future. Can't risk that for one more season with arod

My default stance has been that we should move on from Rodgers, but keeping him as a means of determining whether Glenn is a good coach is a really interesting idea.

Rodgers production last year along with a better defense, a kicker then can make fgs, and real coaching would be sufficient to win next year.

Let's find out if Glenn can coach in 2025. If not we might not find out until 2027 or 2028 which is the most costliest option for this franchise. We need to know. It's not like hes McCarthy and has a history of winning as a head coach. We have no idea if Glenn can be a capable head coach so we should give him the best team possible in year one. Giving him Tyod Taylor or whoever else will just give him a free pass.

it doesn’t make any sense to me. You would have to run Rodgers’ offense and handcuff him to Rodgers’ decision making.

You aren’t finding out if Glenn can coach that way

except it doesn’t. The sideshow never ends with Rodgers.

He’s not going to quit the Punter show, he’s not going to give up his other…. Interests.. and he’s not going to change who he is -

the miserable prick on the field who calls out teammates when HE makes a mistake or the guy who forces it to Devante Adams 15+ times a game

Rodgers gives them the best option for next season. Never thought I'd say that but he does. The Jets aren't finding anyone better in a bridge season.

    He'll most likely be back.

I don't think he cares as long as it's someone he can get along/work with.

He's Aaron Rodgers he'll make the Xs and Os work but there has to be a working/workable relationship there. Respect.

The good news for the Jets is that with Nathaniel Hackett while he did get along well with Rodgers they were at rock bottom with him at OC from a Xs & Os, strategic standpoint so there's only one way for them to go.

I hope they hire someone good.

Rodgers coming has to come with the expectation that we draft a kid behind him bottom line. We always draft QBs and throw them to the wolves. The best benefit is to draft either Jaxson Dart or Kyle McCord and have them sit behind him for a year.

This gives us a chance to compete on the field next year, address our cap/dead money issues and develop a young quarterback under a great QB.

I think if Glenn ultimately brings back Rodgers it's with the understanding that he will be another player on the team, not the defacto OC, like he has been. And he would have to agree to working with likes of Caley or whoever just like he did with MLF, he will not be running the show. If that is something they cannot agree upon, Rodgers will not be back as simple as that.

It goes back to coaching. If there are actual coaches there they would be calling Rodgers out if he did call a teammate out wrongfully. Many times Rodgers did hold his teammates accountable he was in the right however there were times where he was in the wrong, but no coach was holding anyone accountable so at least Rodgers was trying to. Now obviously he picked Hackett but thats irrelevant in the 2025 season. Hackett is gone, the new coaching staff is here. So if he comes back it won't be his friends anymore and the new coaches can hold him accountable.

From top to bottom however the whole culture of unaccountability started before Rodgers was ever there. If Rodgers had come in on day one and demanded Saleh be fired, everyone here would be calling Rodgers a team destroyer and selfish. In retrospect thats what he should have done but people that dont like Rodgers would have killed him for that. (People already kill him for picking Hackett, imagine how much he would have been attacked if he demanded the coach fired before a single snap?) It was a lose-lose situation. So he was walking into a negative situation either way because of Saleh and the culture he created. Thats all gone now. Glenn is in charge and I assume we will have a new OC that is not best friends with Rodgers.

Rodgers is going to be Rodgers. If the Jets choose to bring him back, he will surely run the offense his way. He will do his weekly shows on Mcafee. He will throw teammates under the bus if it doesn’t go well. That’s fine as long as Glenn says if you are hurt or underachieving, you’re benched.

Can’t bring Rodgers back and expect him to change. He won’t. So either accept that or get rid of him. The Jets need to ask themselves if they can win a Super Bowl with Rodgers? I say no, which means it may be better to build for the future instead.
