He should also try to lure his mentor Bill Parcells out of retirement to be gm , only way to right this ship right now, if he can do that I will take back everything I said about him.

Don't forget that not spending money on the New York Jets is a completely meaningless exercise. You have to not spend on any Johnson and Johnson products or anything else Woody has his hands in. Best of luck!

Glenn really wants to be here so that's a positive. I am concerned that Glenn, like Saleh, seems to want to befriend players, rather than coach them. However, Glenn deserves a chance to make his own destiny w the jets so we should give him that chance.

The real issue, IMO, is who they get at GM, and can he spot talent? Good grief, Idzik, MacCagnan and Douglas wasted SO MANY picks and signed so many worthless free agents. MacCagnan wouldn't draft an offensive lineman, even at gunpoint. MacCagnan's 2017 draft included 4 defensive backs and three receivers in one draft. MacCagnan unbelievably signed retread CB Trumaine Johnson to a $72M contract and he lasted one year. Douglas wasted the number 2 pick in the draft on Zach Wilson, so what choice did Saleh have but to play him for two full seasons? Then, Douglas never considered the fact Rodgers could get hurt so we wasted another season w that worthless Zach Wilson at QB. MacDonald was a wasted 1st rounder as well. Sure he had some sacks this year, but he gets mauled in the running game and he is a situational pass rusher at best. NOT what you want from the #15 pick in the draft. Douglas also spent almost $100 million on losers like CJ Uzomah, Tyron Smith, Duane Brown, Randall Cobb, Allen Lazard, Ryan Kahil, etc.

The day the jets get a GM who hasn't got his head up his butt will impact the team just as much, if not more, than the head coach.

the "really hot prospects" were Vrabel and Ben Johnson - Glenn is one of the better options but I still have zero faith it is going to work out as we don't have the number one thing a coach needs to be successful - a franchise QB and we haven't had one for decades and decades

Aaron Glenn has got a difficult job ahead... he needs to change culture in the locker room while hampered by front office mediocrity.

Good luck Coach... welcome to perdition.

Absolutely loved Aaron Glenn as a kid. Makes me feel old as shit that I now absolutely love the prospect of him as a head coach. Plenty of questions and has just as much of a chance to flop as it does to succeed but he’s all you could ask for in a leader of men. The staff is going to be the important part.

Second best part of this… I don’t have to change my username. Hopefully for the next 10 to 15 years.

First Victor Green and now Wayne Chrebet have said they will contact Glenn about staff positions. Exciting times.

Yes he does deserve a chance, just not with the Jets. The Jets have been a joke ever since Woody bought this team and have the longest playoff drought out of any proffesional sports franchise, you don't just keep repeating the same exact thing you have been doing to become this joke of a franchise at what point do you try to change shit up? 25 years of doing the same idiocity is not enough? Espicially when your about to use another high grade draft pick on someone you think will be your next franchise Qb? Why are we taking chances and going into this blind yet again when we do not know if Aaron Glenn can or cannot coach a damn after we have failed the last 7 times trying this? This is how you run Jacksonville where no one gives a damn about football, not a New York team where people are die hard fans. Let Jacksonville give these guys chances and we can pay them a boatload of money when they pan out. 25 years of experimenting doing the same crap over and over again and nothing to show for it.

As an outsider looking in I think Glenn will bring a ton of energy.

    That's all I got.

My team just got some guy named Spytek as the GM.

I'm sure he will bring a ton of energy.
