Our first time play caller and coordinator in LaFleur was probably a good hire boot strapped to a terrible overdrafted quarterback that’s probably going to be out of the league soon though. So I think that’s a stretch of a comparison.

I like listening to Glenn speak, he doesn't waste words or speak in clichés like some people we know. He's been around a stellar culture and has learned from some real innovators during his career. I think my main concern is the stuff I've read about how rigid he is with using man coverage on defense, even when it hurts the results of the game. That's not innovative, that's stubborn, and it could speak to an overall limitation of his. I'm biting my tongue waiting for the coordinators and hoping he actually gets to pick them. The reason McCarthy didn't take the job years ago was Woody wanted to force Gregg Williams on him.
Great! Just what we need, ANOTHER head coach that requires on-the-job training. This franchise is a complete joke.
I think that's a fault across all sports when the guy in charge actually did it himself at a high level. Let's hope he's willing to delegate those decisions (to someone very qualified )
