I don’t know what your deal is, but I don’t like those responses.

Woody, go fly the fucking plane out to Pete Carroll and give him a percentage of the franchise. You wanna win? Then go do it and stop fucking around with all these rookies.

Not moving from it on the last game got him killed. Hope he learned his lesson in spades.

If it’s Glenn, I feel like success hinges on who his OC is. From what I’ve read he has the potential to create a good culture. Just need a good OC

Yeah I mean on the bright side I think he’s a better defensive coach than you drama queens are making him out to be.

They’ve had a pretty terrible cast of players there and the offense has forced teams into track meets for the past two years so it’s either keep up or lose. They’ve finally put together a defensive roster and they’re on CB3 and 4 in that game and CB3 got hurt on the second series.

Well the hope and prayer strategy here is he puts players in the right position to succeed, tears them down when necessary and builds them back up into a better player.

Accountability is important. Low penalties and discipline. All that jazz to build the culture coming from a winning program that we the thought Saleh was going to bring here.

I know you’re a big numbers guy (and I respect it) but you’re not going to find any numbers that make you feel better about it.

The hope and prayer is that we don’t hire him.

The thing to really cement this as a total Jetsian maneuver is to bring Josh McGown as OC to complete the hat trick of first-timers...

Yeah I just haven't found any compelling evidence for the accountability/discipline things either. The Lions committed a lot of pass interference and holding penalties this season. I guess some of that was due to the injuries and their opponents getting so many drives/passing so much due to the Lions' offense.

When I try to convince myself Glenn will be a good hire, I mainly go back to his relationship with Parcells and his time with the Lions during their turnaround. I like that he's had a first row seat to seeing how Campbell operates.

Weird.. I'm totally good with this. After researching, it truly seems like Aaron Glenn is very formidable with his football IQ on both sides of the ball.

He was voted on by players as the best coordinator in the game. He clearly wants to be here if he takes the job. He knows the teams history, he knows football, he is well respected, he gets the best out of his players, and he demands respect. He has a way of talking that truly impressed me.

I think he might be a good one, but I'll wait to see, we've all been burned far too many times.

I do have cautious optimism though if this is the next HC of the NYJ.

The complaints from some on this board doesn't make sense to me though. Especially those casting him off due to one game in the most recent playoff loss. It's wild to me.

After reading thru most of these posts, I wanted to ask a few questions and make a few comments.
    1. Is it approximately 90% sure that Glenn is getting the head coach job?
    2. Have any rumors been leaked about what his staff will look like?

Comments I wanted to respond too:
    1. I see so many people discussing how will he develop a QB, and who would be the QB. I am gonna mention 2 names that if I was the Jets GM I would draft. First would be Kyle McChord QB from Syracuse. I have watched every single game he has played in since transferring to Syracuse. He is just mobile enough as he is no Lamar or Allen. But the kid is a gamer. He can make every freaking throw, is accurate as a mother $ucker. The benefit as well is he will probably be a later draft pick instead of the 1st round.

My second QB that I am looking at is Jaxson Dart from Mississippi. The issue I have with him is that he reminds me of Zach Wilson. Dart can sling it with the best of them. Dart has the good form of arrogance and he as well won't be a 1st round pick more than likely.

With/if the Jets do in fact hire Glenn the most important thing is to hit a grand slam on his offensive coordinator. Other than Josh McGown I have no idea who to look at.

A suggestion for OC I would seriously look at Chip Kelly. He has previous head coaching experience and is one hell of a play caller.

I think it's because his guys are in man coverage all game no matter if they are a starter or a backup who can't keep up with his assignment, so they end up holding to keep from getting torched.

    I am afraid not: https://x.com/Connor_J_Hughes/status/1881834787691769891

It does not work like in the past where you had to physically sign a contract when you are there and Xerox it (or photocopy for these who were not around back then) so all can have it. You can leave the building and have agents work out the details and complete the deal. This is getting done by tomorrow. Just like when Bob left the building 4 years ago and then hammered out the deal. Same thing is happening again in more ways than one.

there is no front seat watching, he’s been with Campbell from day 1, they took over a historically terrible defense and built this team together

What will the Org Chart look like? I'm hoping dumbass Woody doesn't go back to his favorite "Triangle" heirarchy again that didn't work the last time. Just a bad feeling that's exactly what we're gonna get as it keeps Woody and his kid involved directly in the day to day operation.

Fair. But just because that one(s) didn't work doesn't mean this can't either. There have been cases where it has worked. Parcells. Tomlin.

Of course, in neither of those cases were they reporting to an utter nitwit like Woody.
