Glenn would be a good choice, just wrap it up with Glenn so we can work on getting better

Middle Schools run better coaching searches than the Jets did this time around.

I'm really starting to think that they're just trolling us at this point. This was not a serious search. If they'd actually spent the time, effort, and money on making it a serious search that they spent on trying to make it look like a serious search, we might have gotten a halfway decent result out of it.

If we hire Glenn, something tells me there is a good chance Rodgers is back and maybe Downing is retained. I don't see Glenn as a guy who's going to develop a QB.

They better not bring anyone from this current coaching staff back. Time to clean the stink out.

Did the Jets even bring anyone in yet? I thought it was all Zoom interviews up to this point.

The more I think about this the more it annoys me. They are going to make a weak coaching pick based on the fact that Woody got embarrassed in the press. That's what this tells me.

There is no real point in following this process, it already failed.

I don’t even know what that truly means…..if they wanted a low risk solution they might have missed the boat already for GM, and not sure AG is a low risk solution for HC.

If the Jets hire Aaron Glenn or Flores while Mccarthy is still out there and begging for a job this will be a repeat of Adam Gase all over again, and no playoffs will be in site.

How about we get the GM deal done FIRST and then let the GM be part of the hiring process for the HC?????

I have to assume that in these GM interviews they are at least talking about the HC role and who the GM would want or not…but with Woody in charge, you just can’t assume anything that would involve common sense or some semblance of football knowledge…

I think it matters a little. By absolutely no means is it a driving factor but I think if two candidates are more or less in a tie the fact that one is a former Jet kind of goes a little bit towards being a tiebreaker.

Definitely a mile down the priority list though. Not disputing that.

One nice part about rolling the dice on McCown in my mind is that you would assume that sooner or later the Jets are going to draft a young quarterback......

So instead of your say top 3 guy falling into the hands of already-hot seated Todd Bowles and no competent offensive staff at least you have Josh on hand to help the next kid.

Yeah I don’t know what qualifications Josh McCown has to be an HC, but I just am so tired of first time DC’s that I’d rather think outside the box and go with McCown instead of Glenn…and I LOVED Glenn as a CB for us…but just thinking of yet another first time DC makes me want to just quit this stupid team…

Brady I’m not sold on just yet. The guy has Josh Allen running in TDs because he’s bigger than most LBs. the guy is just a unicorn. You just won’t have that here and then what? Very weary of Brady riding Allen’s coattails.

Kingsbury on the other hand has been a HC and he coached up a rookie Quarterback that exceeded all expectations. His play calling vs the lions was a thing of beauty.

I was on the Glenn bandwagon until his D got absolutely destroyed by Kingsbury and the commanders. They made Pee wee football mistakes the whole damn game. The nickel blitz against the bunch trips at the top of the list.

I know the Lions had a lot of injuries but it was the play calling by Glenn that was really concerning. I just don’t think Woody can ignore that game considering the Lions had a bye and were at home and their scheme was awful…

    I’d hold out for Kingsbury

Kingsbury isn’t burning his second and probably last chance at being a head coach with a situation like this. He’s still making his Cardinals salary and said he’s going to be picky.

I don’t get why no teams have reached out to Bill O’Brien. He gets good QB play outta his guys everywhere he goes and wins games.
