One game? Hes been a bottom of the league DC for like 4 of his 5 years as a coordinator. Has zero business being a HC anywhere.
Goff a turnover machine ..too bad for Detroit I was a toddler in the 1950s when Detroit were NFL champs rofl
That guy isn't leading a whole team again for a while. As a OC seems fine. Also regarding Glenn, just remember Dan Quinn was the DC in Dallas when they got blown out last year against Packers and then got the Washington job
And Kingsbury. Kingsbury is the guy we should be targeting if he hasn't refused to interview with us already.
It wasn’t a good performance but it wasn’t as bad as the scoreboard indicates, there was a pick six and another short field TD lions were very shorthanded though, decimated by injuries and they lost starter early in the game You don’t look at 1 game anyway, among other reasons
Which is all his tenure as HC will need to do in order to be considered a success as far as the Jets organization is concerned.
A lot of us have been asking about Kingsbury for a while now. The rumor has it he will not talk to anyone while Washington is in it. Definitely he should be one of the top Jets targets if not the very top. Glenn has got to be out at this point. For 3 years his defense was not good. Granted he inherited bad defense, but still it sucked for 3 years, and this year it was solid, but then imploded in play-offs. Overall it is fair to say it is not a great track record. We need an offensive guy who can put up points. If Kingsbury is willing to talk to us, make the call.
It's good to have connections, which he does have to Atlanta FO. When Saleh left and the defense imploded I personally wasn't sure Brick is even a good DC, and Saleh wasn't the one keeping the defense respectable. Good for Brick though, agree on that.
Why not be back to SF. Basically like the last 4 years never happened. I certainly would like to forget...
Lions do have a lot of injuries but fairly or unfairly people lose opportunities because of a bad game all the time.
They had 13 guys on defense alone in IR, then lost Amik, legit one of their best players left tonight with a broken arm, yeah not much you can do when you’re playing the backups backups.
I think Saleh would gain more by going to Detroit. The Lions defensive reputation is in shatters now. So if Saleh can turn it around and perhaps win a title in Detroit it would go a long way for him. I think going back to San Fran would be same old and wouldn't peak the leagues interest the way it would in Detroit.
Aaron Glenn might get fired in Detroit over this. No way should the Jets consider him a candidate anymore. It just is what it is. He was the lone coordinator that many considered ok to possibly hire because he used to play here but it's over, its not the right time to hire a risky coordinator.
The problem with Daniels, as was true with every mobile quarterback before him (including our own Mark Sanchez) is that whenever he takes his first really big hit outside of the pocket, the head coach and gm will tell him to stop running ... and then everything goes to shit offensively. It happens with all of them, but off the top of my head ... Jeff Garcia, Daunte Culpepper, Steve McNair, Alex Smith, Michael Vick, Cam Newton, Jake Plummer, Mark Sanchez, Rich Gannon, Jeff Hostetler, Doug Flutie, Randall Cunningham. Eventually Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes will be told to stop running, too; the only question is will they see a steep fall-off (like Russell Wilson) or be able to keep it together like Elway and Steve Young.
The Bears are trying to out Jets us with the HC search. Interviewing Eddie George, who has been a HC at an FCS school for 4 years without any other coaching experience https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profo...t-bears-will-interview-eddie-george-on-sunday
