Why is Ben Johnson so coveted? Lions are stacked with talent but they use multiple trick plays a game.
All the people who decided they like Aaron Glenn bc of some stupid youtube motivational speech have epic egg on their face rn.
I bet we'll see the coaching carousel move quickly now that Detroit's season is most likely done. Ben Johnson was the domino that sets it all off. I think we'll see the Jets with some real updates here in the next week.
Well it definitely doesn't help lol. Glenn would have a real tough time here in the biggest market under the spotlight as a first time HC. Not the right move for either side. He'll be fine wherever he ends up, hopefully not here.
It tells us that we should be hiring someone who has already been a head coach and won. It also tells me that it is a near-guarantee that Glenn is who Woody picks (because why wouldn't he pick someone that the fanbase will immediately criticize?).
No idea why Jets fans fall in love with aaron Glenn. Glad Commanders exposed him. Please find an offensive guy.
Final thoughts. Detroit just imploded big time. Glenn hype fizzled out tonight. Kingsbury value went way up. Jets are back to square one. What’s McCarthy phone number Woody. On the other side, those that believe defensive HC do not succeed, Quinn begs to defer. Just saying. Please let’s nail down a GM and have him pick the HC…..please.
Exposed? Daniels is really good and unlike the Lions he didn't throw interceptions. Judging any coach on one game is silly?
I have to admit, I was buying the Glenn hype, but he got exposed tonight. Not the guy for this Jets team
I think this game just cost Aaron Glenn. Side note, it also cost me $500 so fuck him. Second side note: Frankie Luvu changed this game. Who JD didn’t even consider keeping because roster turnover was more important than wins, and there was no infrastructure to challenge that.
That's a rough performance on Glenn tonight after a strong year for him. Knowing our luck we don't take him cause of this game and he goes elsewhere and does great
I don't care if he's an offensive or defensive guy. I just want him to be a guy who has already been the head coach in an NFC or AFC championship game - that means Rex, Carroll, Gruden, Tomlin, McCarthy. I throw Spagnuolo on that list too (because he's coached in like six Super Bowls).
Not silly. Aaron Glenn's job was to keep the Commanders in check. His team scored 31 points. This should be enough for Lions to win. But Glenn's defense allowed 45 points. Game over.
Soon as woody hires the great Aaron Glenn he will be exposed like ulbrich was, but hey atleast he will sell tickets
