Yeah right, if Jets gives up a first round pick for Tomlin and Tomlin took the Jets to the playoffs for the first time in 9 years, you would say that giving up the 1st round pick is worth it!
McCarthy’s record is nearly identical to Tomlins. Look it up, it’s uncanny And McCarthy can be had without giving up draft pick compensation
And McCarthy at some point actually showed proactive interest in working for the Jets, and has actually worked for one of the few more meddlesome owners than Woody Johnson.
I didn't believe you. Then I looked it up. .600 coach? Wow. Maybe I was wrong in thinking he is terrible. Perhaps a lot of that had to do with peak Rodgers though. Mccarthy hasn't shown anything in the last five years. Any Intel on whether Mccarthy and Rodgers could work together again?
He would never, ever come here and he's already made it VERY clear that he's not going anywhere. End thread.
He won 12 games three years in a row during the last five years. The Jets have only one 12 games ONCE in their entire history.
McCarthy would be the best HC we’ve had since Parcells…Rex had a nice two year run but his act wore out… We fucked up not hiring him the first time…I would not be upset if he were the choice, but he may just give Woody the FU after being passed up last time
