Feel like it's penance for being a Yankees and Celtics fan.

Seeing Jets success is like a life milestone at this point. I want to be pumped for the Jets like this again.

The craziest part is how much all of our lives have probably changed during these years. Imagine having a kid in 2011 and not realizing they'd be attending high school before the Jets won another playoff game.

And then having to explain why you named your son Rex or Revis?

I know I had fun that day.

Of course I went to the other game they played in Foxboro weeks earlier when Rex got destroyed. Obviously that game made this victory seem even more improbable.

This game cemented my love for the Jets, I mean what's better than a team of brash ass-kickers going into Foxboro and knocking the stinking Pats out of the playoffs? Watching the Jets that season is the reason why I got myself a Revis jersey too. No player since has given me cause to update my wardrobe, at this point I'm thinking of just going with a classic Namath jersey as my alternate.

Our day in the sun. It was do or die, and then, yeah, well . . .

One of the biggest highlights after the Santonio Holmes TD was hearing Jim Nantz, that Cheats sycophant and ass kisser eat shit. "I don't think he's in, Phil." "That's a catch, Jim. He's in." "Oh, I don't know . . . " "It's a touchdown, Jim."

Cotcherys play was the most important play of that game. Patriots had momentum and then lost it right there before setting up the Holmes TD.

Crazy we used to crap on Schotty but in retrospect he was probably better than anyone we have had since. That Holmes catch was designed play he called there. Easy throw for Sanchez to make and hard for any defender to stop.

Came very close to naming my second son Rex. Partly for Ryan and partly because it is a great name.

Peak cinema and fandom moment since I been following them. Really sucks how awful it's been.

That team should have made it to the super bowl

So sad. That year I thought the Jets were going to be contenders for the next 5-6 years and the Jets struck gold with Rex/Sanchez.

    But nope...

The Jets collapse came right after that game when they basically got blown out by the Steelers in the first half of the next game and have been a shit show ever since.

If the Jets are kept in the Woody family, well have a 50th year anniversary soon

Sanchez also got demolished.with no flag on RTP. What cost the Jets almost as much as his back breaking INT was a gimped Roethlistrapist on 3rd & 19. Eric Smith turned out to be slower than a 90 year old, yay.

Typical Jets to come out as flat as a bad tire in a big spot. Ugh. I can't take it.

This was the height of my fandom. I'll never forget the playoff send-off rallies at the practice facility those years. It made me feel like a little more than just a fan. Now after each of the last 14 miserable years, I find myself feeling less and less of a fan. The passion is still inside just waiting for a flicker of hope.

The Jets vs Steelers was the last AFC championship game to not feature at least either Tom Brady or Patrick Mahomes. Insane.

I keep hearing about this so called parity in the NFL.....o_O:p

The NFL has parity in the sense that big market teams don't dominate. It's never been designed to have the kind of parity you're referring to.
