We just have to wait to see which QB makes some ridiculous across-the-body throw against air during their pro day and then we'll know who the QB of the 2025 NYJ will be.
There isn't another option (except Darnold which I would not do. It wouldnt make sense for Darnold to come back here unless its just for the money) Deep down I think if this team has proper coaching they can compete in the AFC for a playoff spot or even more. I do not think it makes sense to just run it with Tyrod (who will get injured) and then tank the season. If Rodgers wants to be back here as just the QB that would be fine.
I am a long term fan of the New York Jets. The Jets record matters to me; the Bengals record does not. The performance of the Jets quarterback matters to me; the performance of Joe Burrow does not. It's really quite simple - even you should be able to understand.
The Jets are last in the league in rushing attempts. Dead last is that Rodgers fault? no way right? Idk… he does change a lot of calls at the line. And of course he doesn’t run with the football himself ever either
I don’t think it’s because they beat Jacksonville that many of us clam and relational fans want Aaron back. As many have pointed out, statistically, we haven’t see a Jets QB play this well since Ryan Fitzpatrick did in 2015. That team was 10-6 and had a top 10 scoring defense (that team missed the playoffs too). So is this really about the future hall of fame QB, or the organization? Aaron Rogers is a lighting rod and I’d personally like to see another year or two of him and DA/GW/Breece I find it comical that y’all want to move on and draft another kid to ruin…as I’ve said, the 2nd year back from an Achilles injury is the year the player is fully back. Aaron said he’d restrict or his deal and I think both him and DA rework to make the money work for 25-26 The vaunted defense is actually the “Achilles heel” of this team. Use draft capital to address the back end and 2nd level. We also need a big body space eater, teams have been abusing the rushing defense all year.
Dude, they’re always playing from behind….lots of 3 and outs If your backhanded hypothesis is correct, wouldn’t Rogers be leading the league in pass attempts? Spoiler alert*** he’s par for QB’s who’ve played 14 games (between 425-490)
Yeah they play from behind a lot because he’s been awful in the first half of several games. And its Rodgers with a D
Well you’re convinced it’s all AR’s fault. No amount of rational, coherent, calm conversations will convince you. very similar to conversations we had a few years ago in a since deleted section of this site take a breath
I think that is a result of having a HOF passer. The Patriots did a lot of short completions just past the LOS and they made a big deal about "using the short passing game as a running game" but what it really did was pad Brady's stats.
thats not true at all. I don't believe the losing is ALL Rodgers' fault. The defense sucks, the specials suck too. If Rodgers was cheaper than the nearly $40 millon it will take to keep him next year I could be open to it. But he's too expensive, too old and not playing well enough. rebuild the right way
Breece hall hasn’t gotten 20 carries once all season. Sometimes a RB needs that to get going. I have his back for some reason
