Woody has clearly changed in recent years. The bling necklace for example. And that kid of his posts from MetLife with celebrities all the time
Whether true or not, this team will never get its act together when the door is even open to this kind of speculation. Maybe a reporter has some of the details off or embellished..:: doesn’t matter, it shows that there is a freaking clown show going on behind closed doors.. and it will drive away good players, and prevent good coaches etc from wanting to come here.
I won't give a teenager a hard time - I have said and thought some things as a teenager that when I look back at them now I cringe - for example, when I was a teenager in the late 1980s I thought that the Jets were going to win a SB in the next 30 years - what an idiot I wish I could go back in time and give myself a slap and say "it's not too late - have you heard of this team the Patriots?"
Stupidity? Yes. Meddling? This year yes, but not so much before. This was also corroborated by Tanny and Rex, who said something to the regard of Woody not really being involved and supportive financially until the end. Why? When you are successful, he trusts you. I think the biggest problem is that Woody didn't have the brain or the balls to pull the plug last year when he stopped trusting JD and Saleh. The reason is that he wanted to give them a chance with Rodgers without realizing that multiple things could be true: yes Rodgers was hurt but also they suck. But at the same time he clearly lost a lot of trust because of their previous failures and started meddling once he saw early that Rodgers alone didn't fix all the problems. The house should have been cleaned last year, this is more obvious than ever, and is the best example of Woody's stupidity. And btw, the leaks point is relevant too, they started last year. The Athletic was already reporting some of this last year, when the seats were getting hot, but mainly shitting on Zach then. Something completely moronic like Zach was asked to start and said no, and then turns out that he was allegedly asked to start two days after Saleh already said publicly Boyle will start. In other words, complete fabrication. That did not stop Sean Payton from trading for him, so clearly he did not believe this obvious BS. Hopefully prospective GMs similarly will not believe this "reporting" from the same untrustworthy bunch. But hey - Madden shit is funny though, I do have to admit. I wonder if JD actually went by Madden ratings before when he was building OL starting in his 1st and 2nd year, would it actually work? We might have still had Sam around who knows... LOL
Yes something like that but not his first kid. He had kids before with this first wife, including a daughter he alienated when she needed him the most! and died young. These boys are with his 2nd wife. She is a young Ukranian. Which doesn't make much sense given his political alignment in recent years but whatev. fuck him I wish he would sell the team so bad
This shit is just so unbelievable but yet sadly fits perfectly with the Bull Shit football I've endured watching for WAY WAY too many years! The only thing I cant grasp or even believe more than this shit is, who in the name of FUCK would name their kid Brick??? That really explains everything!
His actual name isn't Brick, it's Robert Wood Johnson V. I guess two Woody's would get confusing and they don't want to just call him Robert, Rob, Bob, Bobby, among other typical Robert names... so he's Brick. Not sure where that came from. Was he a big D'Brickashaw Ferguson fan?
That also explains why he did not want to give a game ball to Ulbrich and gave to GW. There can only be one Brick with a game ball, and it's Brick Johnson!
"In 2022, quarterback Mike White played through broken ribs in a late-season game against the Seahawks with postseason hopes on the line. White played poorly; the Jets lost and were eliminated from playoff contention. After the game, with the quarterback in the showers after throwing his helmet to the locker room floor, multiple Jets players said they heard Woody Johnson say, “You should throw your helmet, you f—ing suck.” The statement got back to White. The team spokesperson said Johnson apologized to the quarterback, who declined to comment for this story." This is fucking disgraceful....
A few of you can spin and downplay the massive dysfunction of this organization due to the ownership with comments like is funny, most of it is BS, unnamed sources, etc etc. The fact remains there is a trail of evidence going way back about the meddling and massive and sheer incompetence of Woody and the circus including the shows after a game in the locker room. The Johnson’s can dismiss whatever they want but the results speak for themselves. Nothing will improve till Woody accepts the fact that he is not capable to run this organization and assigns the responsibility to a football savvy leadership with full authority to build this team from the ground up with discipline, talent and accountability.
I didn't catch that bit before: so he didn't actually say it to Mike White. The statement "got back" to White. LOL. So, he mumbled it to himself as if he were saying to Mike, like a pretend conversation, some players heard him talking to himself as if he were to Mike, and then told MIke? What a crock of shit this "report" is.
"The team spokesperson said Johnson apologized to the quarterback, who declined to comment for this story."
I'd almost feel better if the spokesperson had just flat out denied that Woody ever said it. The team can't even downplay scandals correctly!
My gosh you have turned me around with your passion on this thing. Especially your deep analysis after you failed to read the verified facts the first time. Maybe it's all the opposite, and the entire sports journalism industry is totally missing the actual facts to be found if they just looked else where or maybe focused on the former players and head coaches and general managers who should b shut-up and be thankful for having worked for Jets, even though they will all absolutely be working in the league going forward and will have influence on MANY other players, coaches on other teams going forward. I think your savvy point of view really speaks to reality better than the other pesky fact-laden one.
