I have a hard time believing all of this. If any of it is true, then give me one reason why to continue to support, defend and follow this team? There will never be a chance for success or credibility. Why would people root for this franchise with WJ as owner?
OK, let's go one by one for these that have specific examples. Generally the article shits on Woody and the Jets, but this is irrelevant. I want to reference only specific examples. - Jeudy's trade about to complete, but Jets abruptly pull out since Woody suddenly realized he had low Madden rating. Costello reported we offered Lazard, while Cleveland had just picks, and Denver preferred picks. Jeudy called it fake news. First signing in FA was low ranked by Madden Simpson. Bullshit. - Johnson suggested benching Rodgers for poor performance after Denver. This comes a week after he had amazing game against NE. The story also changed as Russini said on her podcast this was due to injury. Now back to poor performance. Before the story said someone in the room said it may have been in jest. Now it was changed to spokesperson, from whom no one else heard from. Woody didn't bench Rodgers even after he got worse and in fact got his friend in a trade. Bullshit. - Denver wanted to get the Jets 257th pick, while Woody said to give 256th due to Mr Irrelevant status. Could be true, could be bullshit, but minor. - Asked to bench Adams. This was 6th year of losing JD and we do know Woody started meddling at this point. It is odd he would ask to bench a specific player, but he didn't play well, and like I said at that point we were fucked regardless. Could be true, could be bullshit, but minor. - Shared some articles from JetsXFactor, which they call "blogs". JetsXFactor is actually not a blog, but pretty reputable. He shared these that make the Jets look in good light, like when they commend a FA signing or a pick, etc. True, but why is that bad? - Johnsons sons are involved in some meetings. Woody is getting old, and his sons will ultimately inherit the team. Could be true, but minor - Johnson pushed back on Simpson due to Madden ratings. But we did sign Simpson the very first day of free agency!!! He was the first signing. I am sorry, but this is just idiotic to believe. Did I mention we actually got the guy the day FA started? Some pushback. LOL Bullshit. -Woody said to MIke White "you suck" after Browns game, then apologized later. Show me any source other than Athletic who claims it happened. Could be bullshit, maybe true, not a great look if true - Woody's son gave another game ball to GW in addition to Ulbrich getting the game ball. True, but what's the big deal a kid gave GW another game ball. Minor. There was some other shit, but these are specifics. When you strip the bullshit, there is really not much there to be honest. Yeah, Woody still sucks, but nowhere near as bad as the article suggests. All biggest things are bullshit.

The following three things can all be true: Woody is a bad owner and a bad person. Douglas is a bad GM and a bad person. Russini is a bad writer and a bad person.
The madden thing and his kid making decisions may get him a slap on the wrist by Goodell, probably not much more. They'd have to find something incriminating for anything substantial.

This whole things started as soon as he left... Either JD or someone loyal to him in FO under him trying to cover themselves. They need to be cleansed with a bleach the second the season is over.
Unfortunately, I don't think it's hard to believe at all. I wouldn't be surprised if some of it was embellished to a point, but even if only half of it is true, it's extremely alarming that any of it is. It seems we are much worse off than any of us ever suspected.
Most of the things marked "minor" here imply a profound degree of meddling and/or stupidity on Woody's part. Basically, they support something we've known to be an issue - Woody's meddling - and imply that the degree of the meddling is perhaps even worse than we thought.
