It's not a good move for him. It's not a good look for him. This is the kind of thing he has to put out the fire right away.
I find this hard to believe. Almost as difficult to believe as the rumor of Belichick reaching out to the Jets about the HC job (yeah right ) That's why I think Wilson has to put out the fire right away.
F him then, not a leader Package him and our no1 to move up to the top 3 so we can replace him with Travis Hunter, a real leader
"Rumored", I'm not saying it's not true, but if so, I'll never understand why players can't just shut up.
Can't really say that I care at this point. Not really sure that anyone on this roster has earned any kind of extension moving forward. Just cut/trade as many as possible and start over.
I disagree. While this year has been a disappointment, wouldn’t it be easier to go into a rebuild with some pieces already In place? I’ll be really disappointed if this is true, Garrett is my favorite of the core of young players
It's been more than a disappointment, as far as I'm concerned. The record and the apparent effort has been downright unacceptable. This group is just a lot of talk, talk, talk with absolutely nothing to show for it. They need to get as much of that as they can out of the locker room and start over fresh with a new coach and a new GM and as many new pieces on both sides of the ball as possible.
Writing is on the wall that he’s going to have to deal with one of the following; A) Another year of Rodgers who has a hard time finding and/or forcing the ball to Davante Adams if retained B) A stopgap QB with the FA class headlined by Geno/Darnold who won’t come here but most likely a Wentz or Jameis Winston type C) the third or fourth first round QB drafted Not a bad strategy to try to force the bigger extension then Sauce will get by putting this rumor out early. GW is a stud and it’s just perfect that we’re going to probably ship him out.
This is how it goes. You gear up and if you whiff, you start over. These are the consequences the organization must pay for their failures.
This should come as no surprise. He's done nothing but produce yet the organization around him has failed miserably in building a competitive team.
He can ask but the team doesn't have to trade him. None of this will matter come spring. Not the time to react to every headline.
So, let's get this straight - this guy on some internet fansite claims Wilson might want to be traded because some anonymous guys who say they know him think he might be wanting to leave even though he hasn't told them that. He even put (REPORT) in the headline! Added to that, a professional reporter says that some people think (actually used the word "speculation") it might be logical because professionals don't like to be on teams that always lose and a year ago Wilson said he prefers to win over losing. Damn! How did we ever get along with only newspapers, magazines, radio and television to rely on for the cold, hard facts?
