This may be the rock bottom point in franchise history? I think this could be it. And for the Jets that's saying a lot.
Geeeezzzzz...do NOT float that out there!!! There is ALWAYS an "0'fer" season and, the way this team operates, that may be on the very near horizon!!!
If only there were a rehab clinic to turn coddled, ultra-awkward billionaires into logic-minded sharks who took the league by storm. Rock bottom has become this team's man cave.
Personally, I never dreamed that anything could get worse than the Kotite Era. I mean, back then, I would have told you it was impossible to be any worse.
Seriously…the Kotite years were rock bottom. But even with the firings of Saleh and JD, I literally have ZERO hope anymore. In prior cycles I kind of got excited about the new potential, but this time I have NO optimism. I fully and completely believe that Woody will fuck up both the GM and HC hires yet again. Maybe it’ll change once we start seeing the candidates and the interviews, but at least so far, I think that nothing will change. Woody will make bad hires again like he’s done EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I truly hate this owner…he has no clue. None. Nada. Zilch. Totally useless.
I’ve said it in other threads, but I’m to the point that the Jets have completely ruined football for me. I hate when football season comes around because my loyalty to this team has kept me from enjoying it. I won’t jump ship because I’m obviously not a fairweather fan, but I just opt to not care about the NFL at all anymore. Jets Football used to be a passion for me, I guess to some level it still is because I care enough to be on a message board. But I’ve gone from being a rabid season ticker holder going to every game to now not even going to one game a year. There’s just no joy in it at all. The stadium sucks, the atmosphere sucks, the team sucks. The best thing the Jets can do for their fans is to move the team entirely. Go to LA or somewhere else. It’s the only thing that can allow fans out of this disaster and maybe begin to like football again. Sure some might continue to follow them, but others can move on and choose another team to root for. Maybe down the line we’ll bring another team or start another team in NY and get a fresh start on things, but at this point even just selling the team to Bezos or Musk or whoever just seems to continue the carnival circus we’ve always been. Nothing changes until the Jets are just gone.
I think literally the only thing that keeps us all hanging on is that the Jets have become a big part of our identity. That's the only explanation I have because this organization has given me zero reason to remain a fan. Only enjoyable Sundays are the ones when the Jets aren't playing. It's like a mental disorder at this point.
Win and your in fantasy game today with 7 starters on bye week. Somehow knock together a team that was competitive. Guy I'm playing has Tua and Smith in his team, Smith has 0.0 pts at end of normal time and picks up 11.9 in ot with Tua picking up another 8. I will lose by 7 or so. Have never hated the Jets more than I do now
The craziest thing to me, much crazier than the playoff draught even, is the 9 consecutive losing seasons. Do you realize how incompetent you have to be to do that in a league designed for maximum parity?
The last two weeks have me encouraged that maybe the Jets fortune is changing. These are the types of draft changing late season wins the Jets of old always managed to pull out.
We're definitely gonna hit double digit consecutive losing seasons next season. Because we're the Jets and we're always looking to add a few more notches of bad streaks under our belt. Just a matter of how many extra losing seasons we throw on top of that.
